Is the quote needed? Because it seems like it was thrown in to a take a jab at Reform and Republican party people. Just saying, nothing more. Apple8800 (talk) 17:07, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree, and that is the first thing that came to mind when I read the quote, which was not even uttered by the subject of the entry. It was very obviously included as an attack on Newt Gingrich and Pat Buchanan, as you will notice the president, supported by Streisand, who signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law, Bill Clinton, is not mentioned, despite the fact he had been president for over six years at the time Streisand gave that interview.
