Voice
[edit]Why should Jen Taylor have Princess Peach have a high-pitched voice? Ugh!! Princess Peach sounded more mature in Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 which I believe is better. Jen Taylor is a well-criticized actress. She'd be better off at having Princess Peach have a low-pitch voice. --ZachKudrna18@yahoo.com
- I wholeheartedly agree. Nintendo should have stuck with Leslie Swan as Peach's voice, IMO. --Lumina83 18:11, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Jen Taylor is no longer doing voice-acting for Nintendo at the advice of her agent due to union issues. I learned this from conversation with her directly, so unfortunately I cannot cite it. - Fearless Son 23:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
I imagine she would be better known for her Nintendo roles, since there have been many more Mario games which have sold an incredible amount of more copies than Halo. Slicedoranges 07:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, that statement is technically incorrect - none of the Mario games released in the period she did voices for Nintendo has actually outsold Halo 2 (in fact, no NINTENDO game during that period outsold Halo 2), and only Mario Kart DS sold more than the original Halo. Even if you compare ALL of the copies sold of ALL of her Nintendo work to all three Halo games, Halo still comes out ahead in sales. Considering that, AND the fact that she has far more lines in the Halo series, it would probably be safe to say that Cortana is her signature role. Hossenfeffer 03:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- This talk page is not for a general discussion of the article's topic, but about the article itself. This discussion is entirely unhelpful towards the improvement of the article. Mynameisnotpj (talk) 03:52, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Not to add to a stupid topic, but I bet all of the mario games she has in combined have outsold all of the halo games. Personally for every 1 halo game I have I have like 5 Mario games141.157.101.100 (talk) 16:18, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Left 4 Dead was mentioned twice. Someone could edit it so its only mentioned once.--Pearlsea (talk) 17:35, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Additional Acting Info
[edit]I found some additional information on what's she's currently up to, but I'm not too familiar with Wikipedia enough to add it in myself. So if somebody else wants to add this stuff in, that'll be great.
Found this video clip of her on the "Funny or Die" site: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/5ab858007d/ask-an-actor-jen-taylor-from-mjsieber She does a comedy bit pretending to speak in a English Accent. Also it leads to this website: http://newcenturytheatrecompany.org/Welcome.html Appears to be a Seattle Theater Company which she's a co-founder of. There's a page about her showing pictures of various performances of her in their productions: http://newcenturytheatrecompany.org/Jennifer_Lee_Taylor.html
Um, what?
[edit]"...best known for her role as Cortana in various Halo games and the Xbox 360 game "1 vs. 100"." You're telling me that Cortana is more notable that Princess Peach? -98.112.160.193 (talk) 23:59, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- In terms of voice acting, I'd say Cortana had more lines than Peach ever will. The claim seems to pass my sniff test, at least. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 00:10, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think if you asked people who Jen Taylor was more people would say "the voice of Cortana" than would say "the voice of Princess Peach". I think that's what it's supposed to mean. Sanguis Sanies (talk) 12:26, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
