Created by B3251 (talk). Self-nominated at 04:09, 4 August 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Killing of O'Shae Sibley; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.
Overall: Nice work. I prefer ALT1, as the grammar of ALT0 feels somewhat awkward to me. Epicgenius (talk) 14:51, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date

[edit]

This funeral home site lists Sibley's birth date as being September 1, 1994, but I'm not fully sure if this would be considered reliable enough for Wikipedia. Opinions? B3251 (talk) 23:37, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is. Presumably provided by family or death certificate. WWGB (talk) 05:32, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Added. B3251 (talk) 17:20, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Title change suggestion

[edit]

Out of respect for O’Shae Sibley, I suggest the tile be changed to remove “Killing of”. I realize why those words are there but I think he should be known for more than someone who was killed. Armenknight (talk) 06:04, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was the killing that was notable, not Sibley. WWGB (talk) 06:26, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
