Jose Rizal and Leonor Rivera cannot be first cousins. None of Rizal's parents were the brother or sister of either of Leonor's parents, Antonio Rivera and Sylvestra Bauzon. I agree. I have removed the first cousin assertion. Lineage, Life, and Labors of Jose Rizal, Philippine Patriot (1913) by Austin Craig names Antonio Rivera (the father of Leonor Rivera) as a cousin of Rizal's father, Francisco Mercado.-- Obsidi♠n Soul 15:14, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
