COI tag (July 2021)
[edit]Trembolomano identifies as MarkiLokuras at File:Markilokuras.jpg (author listed as Markilokuras with link to User:Trembolomano). — Pbrks (talk) 05:17, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Pbrks Hi, Trembolomano here. I identified as him just to upload the image, sorry if it was wrong. I don't have any relation with him as he's a very popular e-sport player and content creator. I just like his content and the way he plays and as he has a lot of recognition I decided to create a Wikipedia page of him. Also, the source "esportsearnings.com" is very realiabe, as it uses other fonts, i mean, you can't edit it. Hope you remove the COI tag and let me use the source "esportsearnings". Sorry for my mistakes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trembolomano (talk • contribs)
- @Trembolomano: I see. Uploading non-free files is not allowed unless they are used under fair-use (which would not be the case here); please do not upload copyrighted works. Esportsearnings has been deemed non-reliable by the community; see WP:VG/RS#Unreliable sources. — Pbrks (talk) 15:15, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Pbrks I understand "esportsearnings" not beign a reliable source, I will find news of the tournaments and add it as sources later. So about the images, What's the correct mode of uploading a picture of his face? It should be fair use as we're talking about him. Although I think he don't care if people uses the pics he post on social media. Thanks for your help! Trembolomano (talk)
- @Trembolomano: No, in general, fair-use doesn't apply to living people. You cannot upload an image of him unless you are the copyright holder of the image or the image has been released under a free license. See WP:NFC. — Pbrks (talk) 18:01, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Pbrks: Okay, got it. Thanks for your help. Trembolomano (talk)
