Inaccurate Information Removed[edit]

My name is Larry Weisenberg, and I am a representative for Michael Milken. On May 12, a statement filled with inaccuracies was added to this page: "Riklis mentored a young Michael Milken and according to Pulitzer Prize winning author James Stewart's book Den of Thieves was Milken's first major client followed by Ivan Boesky."

1. In 1969, Michael Milken's first client was Boeing. He did not meet Riklis until a decade later and by that time, had several hundred clients under his belt.

2. Riklis did not mentor Milken. Indeed, Milken's studies of credit markets were completed from 1965 to 1968 while studying at the University of California, Berkeley and at the Wharton School of Business. His main source of study in high-yield markets was the work of W. Braddock Hickman, which laid the foundation for Milken's financial theories.

3. Milken's relationship with Riklis was not of a mentor; rather, his firm helped Riklis by buying his debt at 20-30 cents on the dollar.

4. Any relationship with Ivan Boesky came years after the Riklis deal.

Mr. Weisenberg, we here at wikipedia want to get information accurate. We also have policies regarding how we get our information. Conflict of Interest is one that comes to mind regarding your relationship with Milken, Riklis et al. People in such a position have an agenda, we want a Neutral point of view. Again, with the goal of accuracy here, we can forego the conflict if it is supported by what we call Reliable Sources, so the information is not your opinion or version of the facts, but that of a disassociated, knowledgeable voice. In short, your edits should be reverted on conflict of interest grounds. I suggest you instead help to make your additions and deletions valid by finding the supporting documents to prove your statements. Add those sources, it removes the content coming from your voice and places the burden of proof on the sources you presented. Trackinfo (talk) 17:03, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger with American Colortype[edit]

The merger with American Colortype that changed the name of the company to the Rapid American Corporation was in 1958. This according to the New York Times, Jan 1, 1958.

I do not know how to correct this in the article and am not really qualified to do so. It's not just a simple date change. I hope someone who is can help correct it.
