The Dr. Schwartz article was selected for deletion. The reason was stated that he may not be a notable individual. However, as he is the most notable ringside physician in the world in ringside medicine, has developed every currently recognized medical protocol and is widely published in both medical journals and medical book, can you please let me know how to correct this page to approve it for Wikipedia. (Above was placed on an editor's page by User:mbsdoc, presumably to stop the speedy delete. Thought it best be placed here for the deletion reviewer.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 18:54, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- What it needs is adequate independent sources and better inline citations. This is why I've added {{GOCEreviewed}}. --Stfg (talk) 11:18, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Dr. Michael Schwartz is a notable member of Professional Boxing in the Northeastern United States. He has appeared in a variety of published articles, journals, textbooks, news broadcasts and even as a medical consultant to television programs such as The Contender[1] and Going Deep with David Rees[2].
In 2011, Dr. Schwartz was inducted into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame,[3] among other notable individuals in boxing such as Vinny Paz.
It is for these reasons that I believe Dr. Michael Schwartz is notable enough to receive a devoted wikipedia article.
- You are contesting a deletion that has not (yet) been requested. --Nat Gertler (talk) 21:22, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
