I don't think there is a spoonerism involved here. Spoonerisms as explained by the relevant article are all about the transposition of the first syllables.

Fair use rationale for Image:Cheers coach.jpg

[edit]

Image:Cheers coach.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Columbo

Colasanto directed another Columbo's Episode: Étude in Black

contradiction

[edit]

This article says he returned for one last scene on Cheers. The Coach Ernie Pantusso article says that this scene was cut from an earlier episode. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.91.182.215 (talk) 06:45, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bad sentence.

[edit]

"He has been posthumously honored with the picture of Geronimo, which was used by the late Colasanto as part of his dressing room at the studio set of Cheers and was left hanging at the bar wall of the Cheers production set."

This is a really bad sentence. I'd fix it, but I don't know what it's trying to say. I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean Colasanto was honored and then left hanging on a wall. Who would do that to Coach? And, I don't think the late Colasanto used a picture, or had a dressing room. Dead men don't have dressing rooms, as a rule. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.25.29.167 (talk) 06:42, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed the sentence. The source says that Colasanto used the picture while he was alive and that the picture was placed at a decor. --George Ho (talk) 07:12, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life?

[edit]

I'm surprised to see so little here about his personal life, since he was such a big presence on TV in the 1980s. On IMDB, I came across a brief marriage [Charlene Jennings (1972 - 1972) (divorced)] but that was it, nothing else listed, no kids, nothing. Is there any more information about his life beyond his career? 69.125.134.86 (talk) 20:04, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources are needed; imdb is not reliable. --George Ho (talk) 20:24, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lede rewrite

[edit]

@George Ho and Gh87 in the public computer: per your request on my talk page I have done a rewrite of the lede. It is a bit rough so please feel free to tweak it as you wish. Cheers! JbhTalk 00:07, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Report

[edit]

One fair use relevant image and the article is stable. Will continue later. No Great Shaker (talk) 07:31, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article is fine and I'm promoting it to GA. Quite a bit of copyediting was necessary but nothing major so, instead of creating a list here and putting everything on hold, I made the necessary changes. One thing you need to watch is conflicting use of sfn and harvnb. I prefer sfn so I transferred the two or three harvnb citations to sfn format, for consistency and efficiency reasons, and added ref=harv to the three books concerned.

Some reviewers might say the article is too short at 3,782b and 628 words of readable prose size, but I would strongly disagree. Obviously, there is scope for expansion but that might well introduce excessive unnecessary detail. I doubt if there is much more that can be said about Nicholas Colasanto within a summary article and so it does comply with both GACR 3a and 3b.

Well done. Geronimo! No Great Shaker (talk) 09:41, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Co-star Ted Danson later said Colasanto had difficulty remembering his lines" (in NC's final weeks on set)

Does that point to hardening of the arteries which AFAIK leads to increasing memory loss and also cognitive decline? 180.150.38.126 (talk) 10:04, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
