His freedom
[edit]It is difficult to believe that one can write a biography of a convicted pedophile and presume that indvidual will not molest again because he is "currently undergoing counseling" and has "voluntarily" registered himself as a known sex offender. The psychotherapeutic community recognizes there are no efficaceous treatments available for this condition and as such, it is impossible to state with any degree of certitude that a pedophile can be trusted around children at any time. The greatest criticism you level at director Amy Berg, that she failed to gain permission from the families of the children on the playground to use their names when presumably, they have not (yet) been molested by O'Grady indicates the level to which one must stoop when attempting to exonerate the deviate in question. Ms. Berg's motive in placing O'Grady near the playground is a simple one: she wants it known that this man's served his debt to society and as such, is free to roam at will wherever he wishes. He is free to visit this and other playgrounds anytime he wishes and legally, nothing can be done about it.--SusanMarina 04:34, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
What is scary here is that as of 2016 he has been convicted for child pornography, etc. (see the article), as predicted in 2007 by SusanMarina. Zezen (talk) 08:40, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

- The (now grown) victims and their parents willingly participated in the movie, as they thought it was an important issue. No victims are "outed" in the movie. It sounds like you haven't seen it.Codenamemary (talk) 20:52, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Sociopath
[edit]Has there been any study of the movie "Deliver Us From Evil" that has determined O'Grady is a sociopath? He;s clearly showing sociopathic behavior but I am not an expert. Can somebody locate such a study so that it can be cited and put up on this page?--Dr who1975 18:18, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
How sad for the children
[edit]I am an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I was not abused by a priest as I was raised in the Catholic Church, but by a man that I trusted. It has taken most of my adult life to try to make some sense of it all. It makes no sense!!! We, the victims, aren't even sure what's happening to us until we are old enough to be sexually active. Then, we are in the middle of a living nightmare. Convicted, known Pedophiles should never be allowed to be around children EVER! That is punishment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.247.147.251 (talk) 13:08, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
"he has been reported", "it was reported, "In October 2008 it was reported", "In March 2010 he was reported".
This has to stop! Any senior editor must step in! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.84.181.215 (talk) 08:13, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation needed
[edit]Father O'Grady redirects here; however, there is at least one other "Father O'Grady" with an article, namely: John O'Grady (priest) (I don't know how such things are handled). --Thanks for your attention to this matter. 2606:A000:1126:4CA:0:98F2:CFF6:1782 (talk) 18:09, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
