Driving offence

[edit]

I'm removing this again as it is clear WP:NOTNEWS and WP:BLP1E and contributes nothing to the understanding of the article's subject.

The latter BLP1E is about articles, but applies equally to material within articles, and let me quote from it

"If reliable sources cover the person only in the context of a single event." This is mentioned in one online local site and is textbook one event.

"If that person otherwise remains, and is likely to remain, a low-profile individual." Clearly true. He's not a public figure.

"If the event is not significant." A driving offence resulting in a fine clearly falls into that category. Valenciano (talk) 19:48, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Language

[edit]

What language would be the most logical and appropriate for a person from Ireland who has spen the majority of his life on this island: Hiberno-English, one would think? Billsmith60 (talk) 17:37, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Suspended priest"

[edit]

I have added "in the Catholic Church" to His official status at the time of his death was described as being that of a suspended priest in the Personal life section, to clarify, in accordance with the cited source (BBC). However, as an outsider to the Roman Catholic world, I do not see how that accords with Buckley having been excommunicated. Perhaps someone with better insight and access to wider sourcing, can improve the text. - Davidships (talk) 13:47, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
