[edit]I think we need to note that this is reverting a move 16:20, 8 April 2015 Hadji87 (talk | contribs | block) . . (52 bytes) (+52) . . (Hadji87 moved page Peaches N Cream (Snoop Dog song) to Peaches N Cream (song) over redirect: Corrected spelling) (my emphasis) which was itself reverting a move 20:40, 7 April 2015 In ictu oculi (talk | contribs | block) moved page Peaches N Cream (song) to Peaches N Cream (Snoop Dog song) (112 song has article). What particularly concerns me there is the misleading edit summary of the move of 8 April, which I have bolded. Note also that it took place only the day after the move it reverted. Post move
[edit]The name of the article should be Peaches N Cream (Snoop Dogg song). His artist name is Snoop Dogg, not Snoop Dog. --82.139.43.130 (talk) 07:23, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- Good point! Peaches N Cream (Snoop Dogg song) has an interesting and possibly significant history. [1] It looks like there may have been a cut-and-paste move. [2] But that places the worrying edit summary in a better light, it's possible that the editor meant this by Corrected spelling, and we assume good faith of course. The result of the move request was: Not moved. The Snoop Dogg song doesn't seem to be the most notable item in the disambiguation page. There are many songs called "Peaches N Cream". (non-admin closure) Anarchyte (work | talk) 06:52, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Peaches N Cream (Snoop Dogg song) → Peaches N Cream – Seriously? "Peaches N Cream" with a capital "P", a capital "C" and a capital "N" does not sound like something anyone would type in on Wikipedia unless they had this song in mind. Unreal7 (talk) 18:42, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, on the contrary, I wouldn't expect a person typing this in to use capitals more or less likely than someone searching for another topic.Dab here is useful, and makes it easy to tell this apart from other topics of the same name per WP:RECOGNISABILITY. InsertCleverPhraseHere 21:34, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, per WP:RECOGNISABILITY and as User:Insertcleverphrasehere predicted Google Books throws up 1000s of results, some capitalized, none of them a Snoop Dogg song In ictu oculi (talk) 07:32, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Plus of course WP:Naming conventions (music) re Peaches & Cream (112 song) and all the other songs on Peaches and cream (disambiguation) In ictu oculi (talk) 07:34, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- The primary use for the term here in New Zealand would actually be for the kiwi sex shop chain, which I noticed doesn't have its own article (nor was it listed on the dab page). I snickered a little when I saw this move request. InsertCleverPhraseHere 07:47, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, as already explained by ICPH and IIO. Other proper-name items capitalize both nouns, so depending solely on a particular stylization of the word "and" seems insufficient. ╠╣uw [talk] 13:36, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
