- @EdJohnston: To comply with Wikipedia standards of article naming (see Wikipedia:Article titles) the spelling Quitaraju is used as it is commonly found in maps and literature about the mountain, being Kitaraju a less used spelling. Kitarahu is a spelling proposed by one of the page editors, based on Quechua dictionaries, but with no sources corresponding to its use for the mountain. Frank R 1981 (talk) 17:23, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
