Gay bishops

[edit]

The article should probably mention the fact that Lahey is probably gay, like several other gay bishops, since his illicit computer files involving children were essentially pictures of underaged males. During the sexual abuse scandal in Vienna archdiocese, there was a very similar affair involving illegal images downloaded at a gay-influenced seminary at Sankt Pöllen, with bishop Kurt Krenn being forced to reisgn. Arrested after returning from Thailand

[edit]

I believe he was arrested at the airport after returning from Thailand, not Europe. The links to the Chronicle Herald don't work. I don't know if any random person like me can remove them, especially as that makes the story mostly OR. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 16:31, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Raymond Lahey. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

"Bishop (emeritus)"?

[edit]

he is the former Bishop of Antigonish, but is certainly no bishop emeritus. Can the word emeritus be removed? 173.35.142.33 (talk) 00:23, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and so does catholic-hierarchy.org. I've removed the "Emeritus" designation, and I think that {{Infobox Bishop}} is an unfortunate relic to keep in this article. Elizium23 (talk) 00:57, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
