Wherrity or Wherity?

[edit]

Evidently we have a problem, with some sources using 'Wherrity', while others use 'Wherity' (the BBC demonstrates either impartiality or cluelessness by using both: [1][2]). Clearly we should try to get this right, at least to the extent that we can, and then indicate that the alternate spelling is also sometimes used. This may need further investigation, but if we can find which spelling Wher(r)ity himself uses, that will probably be the way to go. We'll need to find a published reliable source for this though, which may not necessarily be easy. Meanwhile, can I suggest that contributors avoid edit-warring over this, and concentrate on finding sources. AndyTheGrump (talk) 02:20, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

QUESTION. Is the guy being discussed here the Ross Wherity who has his facebook page using the spelling Ross Wherity? With only one r. Moriori (talk) 03:09, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming that can be verified as his FaceBook page, yes. From what I've seen so far, it appears that 'Wherity' is more likely correct. AndyTheGrump (talk) 03:10, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

'Controversy' section

[edit]

Now that we have the guys name worked out, what about his hair cut! I noted that a large part of his page is taken up with the 'controversy' section. See Ross Wherrity#Controversy. It took me a fair bit of reading to determine that the entire 'controversy' was that the guy had cut his hair! This seems rather un-encyclopedic. It appears to have been put in by an IP. I would be tempted to totally cut it, unless he is really well known for his hair/ hairstyle? I have not been able to find any strong evidence. --220 of Borg 00:57, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
