Copyright
[edit]I marked this article because the text was copied verbatim from the school's website. It will need to be rewritten or face removal. --Atrian 04:22, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Coincendtally, just as you tagged this article I was removing and creating my own text concerning the school. I've left the copyright tag just in case but i think everything is safe now. (chubbstar) 04:37, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Nope - a copyright violation must be fully removed; this means the article, and all its history is purged. In the copyvio notice, it specifically states "If you want to work on this article meanwhile, write a new article at the temporary subpage" for this very reason, because otherwise your recent good edits will also be removed as a result of the purge. - Thanks. Il create that subpage now. (chubbstar) 03:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

whats going on?
- The page is listed on Wikipedia's copyright page. I inadvertently failed to list it there when I made the copyvio designation. An administrator noticed it and placed it there on June 23. The notice has to remain there for at least 7 days. In the interim, chubbstar has created a non-copyvio version on the subpage which I think is pretty good. Once this is process is settled the right course of action will be for the copyvio to be removed and the temporary subpage restored to the original page. An administrator has to do this part so we just have to wait for a couple of more days. Cheers. --Atrian 15:41, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Cardinal Newman Logo.jpg
[edit]Image:Cardinal Newman Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Copyright problems
[edit]This article needs a thorough check for copyright issues for content added by serial copyright infringer User:FreshCorp619, who has returned as a sockpuppet (User:NovaFlyer7000) to continue pasting content. Sorry for the complication to those who are working on this article in good faith. :( --Moonriddengirl (talk) 09:06, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
