I think someoen should post an image --LaotianBoy1991

I think I'm falling in love lol! __earth (Talk) 09:09, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This page should be rewritten in a neutral tone. It's all marketing copy at the moment.

I added a neutrality tag to the article as it's clearly overly commercial, not all Thai or Asians see her as such a superstar :)

When did she switch labels

[edit]

Tata was discovered by GMM Grammy but her recent albums in Thailand are issued by a rival label, Sony BEC Tero Music Entertainment. Is her back catalog still held by GMM Grammy? - Wisekwai 07:59, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think so, Wisekwai. Here's an evidence, all of the songs in her early years with GMM Grammy were excluded from VCD/DVD version of her 2005 concert in Thailand, obviously because of the music copyright problem.

Censored...

[edit]

I wonder why in mtv southeast asia the video of el nin-yo! is censored... At the first month of the video's airing, it wasn't censored, but then starting from (about) early October, it's heavily censored... it's really annoying... there are a lot of part repeatedly showed in the censored version... it violated the art of the video...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Randyrusli (talkcontribs) .

Interesting. I don't have cable, and even if I did, it would probably be UBC, so I still wouldn't have MTV. I wonder if it's just on MTV Thailand or all of MTV's Southeast Asia/Hong Kong service? -Wisekwai 10:14, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MTV Asia censored the video of El Nin Yo! ....(Cannot airing in Malaysia ,Indonesia) ,But in MTV Thailand is full version.Sry85 15:56, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that makes sense. Many thanks. -Wisekwai 16:13, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed Neutrality

[edit]

This article needs citations and is obviously written by a Tata fan: "Considering the international success and acclaim Tata has garnered, Khun Rabiabrat and other critics of her generation seem sadly out of touch with the current music scene in Thailand and abroad." 202.82.171.186 05:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3rd English album??

[edit]

It says on the page a 3rd English album is due in 2007-08. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else (I have heard of a Thai 07-08 album though). Could a source be provided for this, or removed if the information is incorrect? 121.209.70.97 09:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Guest[reply]

Where did you hear it (or read it)? Anyone can edit this page and add or delete information. If you have a source, add it in. — WiseKwai 09:40, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, what I'm saying is that I HAVEN'T seen a 3rd English album mentioned anywhere. I saw a mention of a Thai 07-08 album some time ago (can't remember where), but no English album...121.209.70.97 10:23, 5 October 2007 (UTC)guest[reply]

Interesting, I heard of a 3rd English album too, but I heard it on some blogs, and they are not reliable enough to add to wikipedia BMZ00000 22:27, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sony-bmg haven't official announce about her 3rd English album yet ....But I heard from Sony-bmg Thailand's boss that it gonna release on this December...(and he kept his fingers cross) --Sry85 18:10, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, okay, thanks. I hadn't heard that, at least that is something semi-official. --Guest —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.209.69.174 (talk) 11:03, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Redbike.jpg

[edit]

Image:Redbike.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wedding Date?

[edit]

I don't remember Tatas wedding date was in August is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kasix (talkcontribs) 01:50, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paraphrasing

[edit]

I've just re-wrote a signifcant portion of this article as the original version was a close paraphrasing of [[1]] and so a copyright concern (archived version of that page at the time the text was introduced is [2]). As such the text I removed should not be re-introduced although of course the current text can be improved, updated etc. I am aware that the current version is significantly shorter but I only included information that I thought was appropiate for a encyclopedia article. Removal of other languages from intro

[edit]

Why do you believe that the other languages (Hindi, Chinese and Japanese) should be removed? Please state your argument below. (101.160.149.138 (talk) 04:27, 22 October 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Since this is the English Wikipedia, the names used should reflect those used by English-language sources, per WP:USEENGLISH. The native language of the name should also be included. In this case, this is her Thai name. The other languages are irrelevant. This has been long-standing practice on Wikipedia. If you disagree, I suggest you bring it up at a more centralised venue such as the Village Pump. --Paul_012 (talk) 10:22, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay @Paul 012: just letting you know then that I have removed the Chinese and Japanese names of BoA from her Wikipedia page and the Chinese name of Nichkhun as well. If it's long-standing practice we have to apply it to all pages, it wouldn't be right to indulge in double standards would it? (101.160.149.138 (talk) 13:43, 22 October 2017 (UTC))[reply]
Right. I agree with those changes. --Paul_012 (talk) 15:52, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
