Timeslot season 2

Even though I would not have put information there at the first place yet. According to the source on the second season’s article the regular airing day would be Mondays, only the first episode is one day before the second, therefore on Sunday. — Ochristi (talk) 02:14, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Edit request on 7 October 2013

Being that Quebec is a Province of Canada and NOT an independent Country, it is incorrect to list it on its own with its own flag. As a result please change the following text |- ! Country ! Channel |- |  United States | MTV |- |  Canada | MuchMusic |- |  United Kingdom | Sky Living |- |  Australia | Fox8 |- |  India | AXN India |- |  Brazil | Sony Spin |- |  Portugal | Panda Biggs |- | Asia | BeTV |- |  Germany | RTL II |- |  France | France 4 |- |  Quebec | VRAK.TV |- |  Belgium | Plug RTL |- |  Italy | Fox |- |  Hungary | AXN |- |  Poland | AXN Spin |- |  Turkey | CNBC-e |}

To the following

|- ! Country ! Channel |- |  United States | MTV |- |  Canada | MuchMusic | VRAK.TV |- |  United Kingdom | Sky Living |- |  Australia | Fox8 |- |  India | AXN India |- |  Brazil | Sony Spin |- |  Portugal | Panda Biggs |- | Asia | BeTV |- |  Germany | RTL II |- |  France | France 4 |- |  Belgium | Plug RTL |- |  Italy | Fox |- |  Hungary | AXN |- |  Poland | AXN Spin |- |  Turkey | CNBC-e |}

Thank you for making that correction

Hmm, interesting one. Asia isn't a country either. The main thing is that this table lists which channel broadcasts Teen Wolf in which territory. It's different for Quebec and the rest of Canada. So I've retained the rows for Quebec and Asia, but changed the column heading to "Territory" instead of "Country". Thanks for pointing out the problem. --Stfg (talk) 23:49, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Updates to page

Since the page is protected "No. of episode" on the right needs to be updated from 46 to 48, and in the header, the statement "A fourth season has been confirmed, with its premier unknown" needs to be updated to "A fourth season has been confirmed, with its premier to air on June 23, 2014" (more info on the Episodes page). 220.245.146.235 (talk) 09:47, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Malia's Last Name

Malia has been going by Tate to date, since she was raised as a Tate. (Perhaps she was adopted, although that's purely speculation at this point, since we know nothing about mother except that the one who raised her is dead, so not something that could be proven one way or the other.) The point is, the most recent episode listed her as Malia Hale (on the deadpool list), which indicates that indeed she is likely Peter's daughter. An editor changed her entry to Malia Hale, then it was reverted. Should this be changed, and if so, when and what kind of documentation would be needed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metheglyn (talkcontribs) 01:47, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

I have edits I want to make. I even have an account that is god knows how many years old. Why I can't make these edits myself?

I want to add Malia's situation to the "Classifications" section and the music composer of the series to the template. Maybe along with some fixing grammar or spelling mistakes, I don't know. Put me in a direction so I can make these edits myself. Mgc26133 (talk) 09:54, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

Page protection duration

This article was semi-protected for an entire year back in June 2014. The previous four protections have had durations of the order of a few months. Why was it decided to make this batch of protection last a year? --92.14.188.171 (talk) 19:12, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Because the article's consistent WP:Disruptive editing proved it is an article that requires long-term WP:Semi-protection. In other words, the WP:Administrators began lightly with protecting the article, and then turned the notch up to heavy once the problem persisted. Saves them from having to protect the article every few months. Flyer22 (talk) 22:40, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Cast and characters section

AlexTheWhovian, with this edit, why did you change the section from table format to prose format? Wikipedia television show article these days usually have been using the table format for cast sections; for example, The Walking Dead (TV series) article. Yes, per WP:Prose, prose format is usually preferred by Wikipedia. But cast lists in this regard are an exception. Flyer22 (talk) 04:05, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

@Flyer22: Cast lists are not an exception, especially with so few main characters and deviations in cast status that a table in unnecessary. Prose is preferred everywhere. There are far more television articles that use prose over table - check the Arrow talk page, for example, to read a discussion based on why tables are a bad idea. (Thanks for linking me to TWD as well, I'll add that to my table->prose list!) Alex|The|Whovian 04:09, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
AlexTheWhovian, cast lists are commonly an exception; things like this are a case-by-case matter, much like WP:Cite lead. That, and the fact that WP:Prose states "primarily of prose" and makes no demand that people always use prose format, is why I stated "cast lists in this regard are an exception." Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Embedded lists, which WP:Prose is a part of, is clear that prose format is not always best. And considering that The Walking Dead (TV series) article is of WP:Good article status and editors there prefer the table format, it would be best that you discuss this there before simply changing that cast list's style. Similar goes for other articles as well. Clearly, the prose vs. table aspect needs to be discussed at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television, and relevant WikiProjects need to be alerted to that discussion.
I've found the prose aspect in the case of the Teen Wolf (2011 TV series) article to be problematic for similar reasons that I find List of Teen Wolf characters to be problematic: People want to add the status of these characters (what type of creature they are, whether or not they are alive, etc.) when that status is different depending on what season the viewer is watching; see what I stated to an IP about that.
On a side note: There is no need to WP:Ping me to this talk page since it's on my WP:Watchlist; I know it's on yours as well, but I WP:Pinged you for transparency (meaning so others could easily click on your user name/talk page/contributions and learn more about you in case it took an hour, or similar, or a day for you to reply). Flyer22 (talk) 04:41, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Update: As you'll know from the WP:Ping, I've taken the matter to the aforementioned guideline talk page: Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television#WP:Prose vs. table format for cast lists. A WP:Permalink for it is here. Flyer22 (talk) 05:02, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Requested move 14 March 2016

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No move. We have consensus against all of the moves. Cúchullain t/c 13:52, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

– Either one of the above suggestions, or:

Google "Teen Wolf TV series", and match the number of hits between the 1986 series and the 2011. You'll get little to zero hits for the former. Alex|The|Whovian? 11:52, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
The number of hits is irrelevant. "(TV series)" is ineffective as a disambiguator as it is still ambiguous as it does not make it clear which TV series. --Rob Sinden (talk) 12:29, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Dylan O'Brien's character name

Should Dylan O'Brien's character name not be updated as his character's real first name was revealed to be Mieczyslaw Stilinski in sesson 6 episode 8. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrsbdk (talkcontribs) 16:17, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Not really, as he is known throughout the entire series as Stiles; that's the name he is known by for six seasons, and he's only been known by his actual name for one episode. Alex|The|Whovian? 23:45, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
So regardless of whether Dylan O'Brien should be listed as "Mieczysław 'Stiles' Stilinski" or "Stiles Stilinski", or whether Linden Ashby should be listed as "Sheriff Stilinski" or "Sheriff Noah Stilinski", I keep seeing the argument "X hasn't been credited as such" used to argue against including the full name. I don't think this is a valid argument for not listing characters' full names (there may be other valid ones; my comments refer solely to this particular argument) because in this show (and in most American/Canadian TV shows currently airing), credits do not list "<actor so-and-so> as <character name>". Unless there's a source of credit information I'm not privy to or have missed. The main episode credits in this series certainly do not list the names of the characters whom the actors are portraying. The only exceptions I can think of are the occasional "and" credit at the end, which sometimes list "and <actor name> as <character name>", the best example of which I can come up with is Heather Locklear as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place. —Joeyconnick (talk) 19:17, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
I've merged this section with the above one, given that it's about the same thing. How an actor is credited is not necessarily just concerning the credits for the episodes of the series, but promotional material, press released, etc. released by the network that airs the series. He has always been named as Stiles Stilinski in official content released by MTV, and will more than likely continue to do so. If they begin to released their content and name him as Mieczysław continuously, I still think the situation of naming him as Stiles here would still apply, given that it's five-and-a-half seasons compared to only a half-a-season worth of new content. Change everything to past tense as series has ended.

Teen Wolf was an American television series developed by Jeff Davis for MTV. It was loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, and starred Tyler Posey as a teenager named Scott McCall, who was bitten by a werewolf and must cope with how it affects his life and the lives of those closest to him, and Dylan O'Brien as "Stiles" Stilinski, Scott's best friend. The series received generally positive reviews from critics and is a fan favorite on social media.[1][2][3][4] Nkb123 (talk) 21:47, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

 Not done: No. So first, it's not ended as there's still season 6B airing during MTV's summer season. And second, even when a TV series has stopped producing new episodes, it still is a TV series. The only thing that would require changing to past tense (once it actually ends) would be anything that talks about it being currently in production. —Joeyconnick (talk) 22:26, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Exactly as Joey said. Just because a series has finished (which Teen Wolf has not), it doesn't cease to exist. Television series aren't the same as actors or people. Alex|The|Whovian? 00:41, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
