Notability standards

[edit]

Given that Gordon has standalone Wikipedia pages in four other languages, it is reasonable for him to have a page in English, rather than a redirect to his book. Furthermore, as the fact from 2008 on this talk page demonstrates, he has been a relevant public figure for many years. Sesamecollector (talk) 06:50, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Every Wikipedia has different notability criteria so appearance in other language Wikipedias has no bearing on the English Wikipedia. Every article is judged on its own merits, namely whether it has significant coverage in multiple, reliable sources independent of the subject. That doesn't appear to be the case here, as the sources are either unreliable YouTube videos or primary sources or mentions/interviews that do not cover the subject from a third-party reporting perspective. In that context, what has been reliably written about him can be covered in context in the Anarchy Alive! book article, which (barely) does have secondary sources. czar 13:30, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
