Tapes is a city located on the shores of Lagoa dos Patos, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Known as "The Girlfriend of the Lagoon," Tapes enjoys a privileged location, with a stretch of land known as the "lagoon's bag." The city is renowned for being home to one of the best beaches in the southern region, attracting both locals and tourists from cities like Porto Alegre and Pelotas.

Culture and Attractions

One of the main attractions of Tapes is the Gaúcho music, an integral part of the cultural identity of the region. Groups like Os Tapes, although no longer active, and artists like José Cláudio Machado were instrumental in spreading traditional Gaúcho music, significantly contributing to the local music scene.
