Rossin Bicycles

[edit]

Steel framed bicycles manufactured outside Bergamo in the center of Italy's racing heartland between the early 1970's and 1990's. Rossin road frames are designed for speed in criteriums and road races. They are especially suited to long rides through corners and up mountains.[1]

Company History

[edit]

The Rossin company was formed in the early 1970's from the desire to compete. A move by the Itla team supplier Colnago to favour another team led to the Itla team management to create their own bicycles. Mario Rossin was identified as the man required for frame production and the company was formed in September of 1974. The founding partners were Vittorio Ghezzi Alberto Inzaghi, Guiseppe Ghezzi, Domenico Garbelli and Mario Rossin. The bikes formed of this partnership were branded "Rossin” and was extremely competitive at the highest levels of competition.

The Rossin brand was sold after two decades of success.[2]
