Advice In antidepressants Around The UK

[edit]

That was, in my opinion, a spambot or similar (those people that post things for 5c a go...). The somewhat manic style and mush of scientific stuff containing the outside link to somewhere that will flog you herbal viagra, or herbal hair restorer, or prescription free whatever - the contents varies but the overall look doesn't. I've blocked it, him or her, anyway. Peridon (talk) 21:28, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have deleted the article Tuliao national highschool (TNHS). This is just to let you know that the tag you used for speedy deletion was incorrect - WP:CSD#A7 is explicitly NOT for educational establishments. It has been deleted, but under WP:CSD#A3, as there was no meaningful content.

I mention this because notifying authors of speedy deletion is more useful if you use the correct notification, so that they know what needs correcting, and also in case you weren't aware that A7 cannot be used for nominating schools. If you think an article about a school should be deleted for notability, you need to use PROD or AFD.

Thanks for your work on new page patrol, it is appreciated. Stephen! Coming... 10:33, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • @StephenBuxton: Oh, I'm really sorry for that . But I need a bit of help, last time admin 'AmaryllisGardener' had informed me (above 'Game tables..') that A3 is for its literal meaning of 'no content'. Since then, I am limiting its use just for articles with virtually no content. The help page of A3 also says that if the article has anything but content -- delete. So.. :| Abhinav (talk) 12:38, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about it, it wasn't a major problem. As for the definition of A3, it is one of those areas that is extremely hard to define (a bit like notability, I suppose!). You could ask 100 administrators to assess my reasoning for deleting it as A3, and you would probably get a 50/50 split as to whether they agreed with me.
My reasoning here was that the article was for a school, and the text of the article was just the name of the school repeated; nothing else. Had the content been "Tuliao National High School is a school in (insert placename here)", then I would have just declined the speedy deletion. But given the way it was written and laid out, I saw no reason for not deleting. My advise is to just carry on page patrolling and nominating. If you make any egregious errors, people will correct you. Be bold! Stephen! Coming... 12:55, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Great! Thanks for keeping up with the good work and helping out users. Abhinav (talk) 13:07, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Satra Ko Shaadi Hai

[edit]

Hi. Just to let you know, I've closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Satra Ko Shaadi Hai because your immediate deletion rationale appears to have been resolved. If you want to continue to pursue deletion of the article, you are open to speedily renominate with a new rationale for deletion. Respectfully, Mz7 (talk) 01:12, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stub sorting

[edit]
Hello Abhinav. Thank you for tagging an article as a stub. I noticed that you used the {{stub}} template. In the future, it would be greatly appreciated if you could sort the article to a subcategory by using one of these templates instead. For example, you can use {{US-novelist-1960s-stub}} for an American novelist born in the 1960s. Of course, if you can't find a proper category, you can always use the {{stub}} tag and someone else will sort it for you, or you can propose a new stub template or category here. Thanks!

Speedy Deletion of Page Veooz

[edit]

Sorry, I had accidentally saved the page instead of viewing the preview in the middle of editing.

I have since added a short description, and more will be added with references

Can the speedy deletion notice be removed?

--Audiodevelop (talk) 09:29, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Audiodevelop: I'm Sorry, once an article is tagged for deletion, it can only be removed after an admin reviews it. I'll violate the rules, if I do that. But you can contest the deletion on the talk page and state the exact reason. I'm sure they will consider it. By the time, you can continue updating your article. But make sure you contest the deletion on talk page. Ψ-Φ (Read:Sci-Fi) 09:32, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Siranglupa: I'm sorry about your article. But here on Wikipedia, we can only keep the articles having sufficient notability and content. This is done to maintain the standard of all the information available on Wikipedia for free use. You can continue to create new articles, provided, they are based on real, significant content (and are not hoax), and have reliable sources.
  • Here's some brilliant advice for the new editors bundled up by fellow wikipedians:

Writing an article for Wikipedia is harder than many people realize. Even professional writers find that the format and style needed for a good encyclopedia article are different than what might be appropriate for other venues. You could:
