"Your" images

[edit]

I've seen you uploaded a picture of Marius Lacatus claiming it was taken by yourself. Unfortunately I just discovered the picture was taken from here. Since this is not the first time you upload pictures with completely false claims, I think now it's time to warn you. What you did can be actually considered vandalism, and is counter-productive for the whole Wikipedia project. Take care and please stop with this practice. Thank you. --Angelo 23:08, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:CSM Logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CSM Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thanks for uploading Image:Markspitz.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Markspitz.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 14:11, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Korobka.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:30, 18 August 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ahonc (Talk) 18:30, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Otaysa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Improbcat (talk) 15:45, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Reny Picot has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:54, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Korobka.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Korobka.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Korobka.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Blaxy Girls

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Blaxy Girls requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

A tag has been placed on José Antonio Salguero García, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Thank you for translating the article into English. Now that it is no longer in Spanish, I have removed the CSD tag. In order to avoid people tagging your articles as being in a foreign language, I would suggest that you work on them in your Sandbox first, and move them into mainspace, once the article is ready for the English Wikipedia. Regards -- Александр Дмитрий (Alexandr Dmitri) (talk) 15:35, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with José Antonio Salguero García. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I appreciate you're not doing anything wrong per se, but I find it much easier to edit articles using English spacing in the edit box, and would ask you to not remove this spacing. I've spent a good deal of time on the article, I find viewing text with double-spacing after full stops much easier than with single-spacing. Sometimes I find edit windows nearly incomprehensible, and so would appreciate it if the double-spacing was retained. Thanks. Parrot of Doom 09:12, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have messaged the founder of madridista.hu about his website and he responded by this

"Thanx for your mail.

First of all I write you that the base of our stats is "leyendablanca". The starting lineups, substitutions, cards etc are from that page until the birth of madridista.hu (2003). From the season 2003/04 these datas are from different spanish pages like realmadrid.com, marca.es, as.com, elgoldemadriz.com, etc... Since some years we make the stats of Castilla and Real Madrid C as well.

Who are we? We are some hungarian boys and girls, who like Real Madrid, now we are trying to make the first and only official Pena Madridista in Hungary. By the way our page started in 29th july 2003, I am the founder. Now there are about 20 people working on the site (moderators, article writes, etc). We are trying to make the best sportportal in our country :-) We have about 30-35.000 visits a day. (info@madridista.hu)"

This may help in FLC.--KSAconnect 17:37, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hadrianos1990! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Can you check something?

[edit]

Real Madrid C.F. in Europe is populating the Category:WDL error as the numbers don't add up in the top row. An error I believe introduced in your edit here. Any chance you could check your figures and correct it as I don't know what the right thing to put is. Thanks, Rambo's Revenge (talk) 10:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

FLC works almost the same as FAC. Just add {{subst:FLC}} to Talk:Real Madrid C.F. in Europe, follow the link to create the FLC page, and add it to WP:Featured list candidates. However, you should perhaps consider first getting an independent opinion of the article at peer review before submitting it to FLC. Ucucha 12:13, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I now see you've already done that. Good luck with the FLC. Ucucha 12:13, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Real Madrid C.F.

[edit]

Hi Adrian. I saw you posted the Real Madrid C.F. page for peer review. I've occasionally made minor edits to that article in the past, but I am willing to assist a major cleanup and possible expansion to finally elevate it to FA status. If you need anyone to do some research, fixes, review, or anything else leave a message on my talk page and I'll get to it. Bobby (talk) 04:48, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Real Madrid seasons

[edit]

Personally, on Wikipedia I don't feel comfortable doing anything that involves having to reveal my real-life identity, in any form. It's strictly a matter a privacy for me; I've heard horror stories about users being harassed in various forms after giving their names. Unless you wanted me to post a message on your talk page, I don't know how well this would work; I won't even leave my e-mail address on here. I don't even know if you'd need an FL director to attest to your work. If you wanted to tell them what your screen name is, I see no reason why someone wouldn't believe you, since you could always go on a computer at a potential workplace and log in there to prove your identity. Of course, I'm not that knowledgeable on job requirements, or how much getting an FL will help you. Best of luck with your journalistic ambitions. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:59, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
