Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Polistes carolina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. • Welcome to Wikipedia. We do not want readers of the encyclopedia to come upon empty or "watch-this-space" articles, so they may be speedily deleted. Instead, I have "userfied" this for you - moved it to a sub-page in your user space at User:Akinjenn/Polistes carolina where you can work on it. Another time, if you want to take time over making an article, a good way is to click on Help:Userspace draft and fill in the title. That will make a draft page like this one.
Here are some other pages that you might find helpful:

Disambiguation link notification for October 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Belonogaster juncea juncea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Petiole. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Did you know...?[edit]

Thank you for your recent contribution to Polistes erythrocephalus.

I wonder if you would like to consider submitting it as a candidate for the "Did you know...?" feature. DYKs (as they are commonly called) are short snippets taken from Wikipedia's newest articles and, if approved, appear on the Main Page. You can learn more about this at Wikipedia:Did you know.

Your article Polistes erythrocephalus appears to meet the criteria for submission as a DYK, but would be greatly improved if you expanded the lead section to briefly summarize the main points of the article. If you choose to submit a short (and interesting) fact from your article, please read the rules and the supplementary guidelines carefully. Please ask me if you have further questions.

According to the DYK tool, your article was created or expanded on October . DYKs must be nominated within 7 days of the creation or 5-fold expansion of the article, so if you choose to submit your article, please act quickly! Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 04:12, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Polistes erythrocephalus, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 15 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Akinjenn. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Polistes erythrocephalus".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13. An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 18:29, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
