Student work?

[edit]

Hallo AmarieLemon and welcome to Wikipedia. I see that you have completed training for students - are you editing here as part of a student course? If so, please ask your prof to read Wikipedia:Student assignments, and to create a Course page, and add the template {{Educational assignment}}, with appropriate parameters, to the talk page of the article you are working on.

I've come here because I've seen your edits to Orange Flower Water. I've reverted these and gone back to the redirect to the playwright's page, because the encyclopedia does not need such detailed information on the cast and crew, nor a blow by blow account of the plot, but the article at Wright's page has more encyclopedic content than has appeared in the article on the play.

Please also note that in your last edits to Orange Flower Water there were the following problems:

  • You didn't replace the hatnote pointing readers to Orange flower water if that was the article they needed
  • You linked to Craig Wright, a disambiguation page, and didn't check your link to see whether it went where you intended it to
  • Although you italicised the title in the opening sentence, you didn't bold it too.
  • Most of your references are "bare URLs", which don't show the reader what you're using as references. You should write a clear reference, just as you would for a hard-copy paper, with the web link an added bonus, so that the reference is still helpful if someone is reading offline, or if the web link breaks.

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Utility (play), from its old location at User:AmarieLemon/Utility (play). This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. KGirl (Wanna chat?) 12:12, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
