Question about Northern Ireland civil rights movement
[edit]I noticed you are a Wikipedian in Ireland. I wanted to ask you about the Northern Ireland civil rights movement. From your personal experience, what is the most common term used to denote that event in Ireland? Is it "Northern Ireland civil rights movement" or "civil rights movement". I'm focused on the American movement on Wikipedia. To my knowledge, the Northern Ireland civil rights movement is the only social or political movement, whether inside the United States or outside the States, to be called the civil rights movement other than the one in the States involving African Americans. I would appreciate your insight. Thanks. Mitchumch (talk) 12:15, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
- Mitchumch I would probably refer to it as "The Civil Rights Movement" especially if talking to people from the Island. Talking to people from outside or without context, I would probably put "Northern Ireland" in there to clarify which civil rights movement I was talking about. ☕ Antiqueight chatter 20:16, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

WiR stub contest
[edit]Hi there, Antiqueright, and thanks for participating in our stub contest. I've been checking the size of your articles and see that Marguerite Sayers and Anne Butler (engineer) are still too short. New stubs need to have at least 160 words of running text. You can check article length by using Xtools article info and checking the list under "Prose". Regina Moran is fine as it is. If you do not intend to increase the length of new stubs which are too short, you can list them under Newly-created stubs which do not meet contest rules where they will be available for others to destub next month. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:54, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ipigott Huh! I knew they were short but I didn't think they were that short. ORES was calling them Start - but again I didn't think they were that long..... OK- will review them and use the counter next time - I was assuming ORES was closer to right than that......Thanks for the headsup ☕ Antiqueight chatter 14:52, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- I also thought ORES was closer to the mark than that but after checking its results on a few stubs, I can see that tables and sources are also taken into account. I've now tried to make things clearer on the #140 priority page. We look forward to further contributions.--Ipigott (talk) 15:28, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ipigott Could you check those now - and the latest to be sure I'm reading the tool right - it tells me they all have over 160 words now but.... ☕ Antiqueight chatter 16:03, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- They are both fine now. Well done! Looking forward to more along the same lines.--Ipigott (talk) 16:10, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

Louise Gavan Duffy
[edit]Hi, Sorry I can't do this myself but I would mess up the reference system (I don't know about snf). Could you change reference 10 so that one could click and go into the BMH ststement in the same way as with Eilis Ni Eachnaidh.Aineireland (talk) 12:25, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't know it was different- but indeed it was Aineireland. I have added the other location rather than swapped it. But basically it should be the same file. Try it now (reference 11). ☕ Antiqueight chatter 13:35, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for that. I still think 10 will only cause confusion and frustration as it did me(I have been able to access the text a bit better from it after further exploration, but still unsatisfactory). I feel people might give up and not proceed to 11. But I assume you have your reasons. Aineireland (talk) 18:14, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Aineireland, I wanted to be sure it was indeed the same item. I will get ride of the duplication once I've had a chance to read them properly... ☕ Antiqueight chatter 18:36, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Hello. Today I edited the Wikipedia page of Nancy Wynne-Jones, a Welsh-Irish landscape painter. My edits were only to amend some known but not hugely important facts about her life & remove some inappropriate references to her personal life that were not necessary at all in the article. The edits themselves were not substantial.
I see that the edits to the article have now been undone, and that the inappropriate references have been returned.
Can the deletion of this edited article be reviewed and re-uploaded please?
With thanks in advance & kind regards, jfpfallon — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfpfallon (talk • contribs) 14:29, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Peace Dove
[edit]Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension. Happy Holidays to you and yours. ―Buster7 ☎ 17:00, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
Juliet Macur
[edit]Hello and top of the morning to you -- I've just finished fixing up your stub article on Juliet Macur: reworded here & there, moved some things around, changed & added a bunch of categories. And because that one frightfully long paragraph needed to be split up, I was forced to leave all of the citations appended to the final sentence. Which means that you will need to go back and insert them in the correct places, since I had no way of knowing which citations belonged where.
