CAP lock and civility

[edit]

Please do not write in full capitals in your edit summaries, it is considered rather poor etiquette and shouting. People will pay less attention to what you have to say if you do that. Also, edit summaries like "ITS A FACT" or "READ A BOOK" are totally unhelpful. Wikipedia does not accept "FACTS", we accept verified, neutral and cited statements, not whatever you may have read or know from a book but can't or won't provide a citation for. Your edits, particularly if they are not neutral or compromise the integrity of the article in the eyes of the majority of the Wikipedia community, will be continually reverted with justification if you pursue this current editing style. Thank you, S.G.(GH) ping! 15:07, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Meenas, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Meenas

[edit]

You seem to be engaged in an edit war on the Meenas article. I can see lots of evidence of you reverting others' changes, but no evidence at all of you engaging in a reasoned discussion on the article talk page. I strongly urge you to desist from simply reverting, and rather to argue the matter rationally out on talk:Meenas. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 15:25, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Meenas. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:29, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You've ignored the above warnings, and continued to edit war. Consequently I've blocked your account from editing. When that block is over, you are expected to discuss the dispute on the article talk page, I told you above. If instead you resume warring, you'll be blocked again, likely indefinitely. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 15:35, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Agnivanshitribalmeenas. Thank you. [edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for your disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. S.G.(GH) ping! 17:20, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What you are inserting into the article is what you believe is fact. you are supplying no evidence whatsoever. Your edits will be reverted until you discuss your proposed changes on the talk page first. Stop edit warring and provide some evidence for your ideas. S.G.(GH) ping! 17:21, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Warning on multiple accounts

[edit]

Hi. Wikipedia has a policy in place where editors cannot have more than one account. As such, I've blocked Agnivanshitribalmeenas (talk · contribs). In the future, please only use this account when editing, or you may find yourself indefinitely blocked. Also please remember to log in when you edit, as editing anonymously can also appear to be getting around the rules. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 13:23, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:24, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, your edits show you've read this, so I expect you to heed the warning. Dougweller (talk) 15:02, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adding references to articles

[edit]

I notice you have been putting partial reference information in your edit summaries instead of in the body of the article where they belong. Please read Wikipedia:Reference#How to format inline citations for a quick guide on how to place citations in articles. Properly citing your sources ensures that content you have added can be checked by other editors, can help establish that your edits are not original research, and improves the likelihood that your edits will be accepted by other editors. Any additions you make without including proper references may be challenged and removed. AtticusX (talk) 11:39, 4 November 2010

Please stop edit warring at Meenas

[edit]

A complaint about your edits was filed at WP:AN3#Slow-moving edit war on Meenas (Result: Semi, warning). You may still respond there if you wish. You are expected to cease edit warring at the Meenas article, or a block may ensue. Do not revert again on the subject of tribe vs. caste without first getting consensus from the other editors on the talk page. Note that putting the names of references in your edit summaries is useless; add them to the article if you think they are appropriate. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:28, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Dalit, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diannaa (Talk) 06:39, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
