March 2017[edit]

People must meet wp:notability (people) to be included on lists. They almost always should have their own article or have extremely good references. One's own website, biography, or company is not sufficient. Jim1138 (talk) 08:06, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article M.K.Seetharam Kulal has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Disambiguation link notification for March 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kulala, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gulf. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sanctions[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Citing[edit]

Hi, I think you may be adding citations at Kulala without actually checking them. I have just had to remove two because they do not say what you think they say. I've left the Alagodi one in there for now but it is meaningless and will have to be fixed. - Sitush (talk) 12:46, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Venur, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tulu. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Mangalore is a Featured Article, and not a Tulu propaganda magazine[edit]

Some of your edits in Mangalore don't include citations.
There is no proper formatting as well.
Remember that Mangalore is a Featured Article and not a Tulu propaganda magazine. 223.186.36.9 (talk) 18:37, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Bunt56. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Please explain how the material you removed is unsourced. --NeilN talk to me 14:16, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that if no acceptable explanation is given then you will be looking at a topic ban. --NeilN talk to me 14:26, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NeilN: there is no acceptable explanation. The stuff was reliably sourced, as it also was at Kulala. Bunt56 has been doing this sort of thing for a while now on articles where we know sockfarms have been operating. - Sitush (talk) 14:34, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

March 2018[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Bunt (community). Sitush (talk) 16:56, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To enforce community authorised sanctions,
you have been indefinitely blocked from editing. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Reminder to administrators: Community sanctions are enacted by community consensus. In order to overturn this block, you must either receive the approval of the blocking administrator or consensus at a community noticeboard (you may need to copy and paste their statement to a community noticeboard).
