June 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Republic of Canna and Sanday, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 00:14, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Images on Wikipedia[edit]

They need to be uploaded first. URL images will not display. For information see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images. For adding images to that particular template {{nfobox Officeholder see Template:nfobox Officeholder If you want help, leave a note on the bottom of my talk page or put {{helpme}} on this page with your question underneath. Regarding your addition to List of micronations[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to add new content, but your recent additions do not assert the notability of their subjects and have been reverted or removed. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:00, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Canna and Sanday, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deletion[edit]

The existence of other articles doesn't affect any article. Please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Apart from which, if you cannot provide evidence for the notability of this 'micronation' it will continue to be deleted. This must be in the form of reliable independent sources WP:RS. Please note as well that Wikipedia is not free webhosting. Peridon (talk) 19:45, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Faolan Mac Cholla[edit]

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Faolan Mac Cholla has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:46, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mahamadou Maiga Djeri has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. March 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Sowlos. Your recent edit to the page Italy appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. A prime minister-designate is not an office. It is the next person expected to be prime minister. Also you removed the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies.  —Sowlos  11:40, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Sowlos. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Pier Luigi Bersani, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. No resource says he's prime minister. He was considered the designate, but at the moment there is a hung parliament.  —Sowlos  11:58, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I reverted your edits to the presidents of russia. You are swapping poorer quality un-official pictures for what we have on file. You should provide necessary justification for your upload of his picture. Secondly please refrain from putting his sect, since it is a rule that each PM of Lebanon should be a Sunni and his sect is given the text and in the categories. Thus, it is redundant. "I edited the officeholder infobox"[edit]

As this is far from the first time you have removed information from infoboxes of politicans with insufficient explanation (the edit summary being the title of this section), I have to ask of you the following: 1) Please provide an explanation why you removed that information in the articles Jens Stoltenberg and Kjell Magne Bondevik below. 2) In the future please write an edit summary that actually describes the rationale behind your edits instead of just stating the obvious. You have been reverted several times in the past when removing information from infoboxes, so consider this a warning not to do it again without providing a sufficient rationale, as your edits in that regard does not seem constructive. The article Plamen Oresharski has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Subtemplates; granular parameters[edit]

Please do not remove subtemplates such as {{birth date}} and {{death date and age}}, as you did at Arturo Alessandri; and please do not move values from |honorific_prefix= to |name=, as you did with "Sir" at David Frost. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
