Deletion of Puerto Rican images
As you all know, certain situations among which are included my personal health, have led me take a leave of absence from Wikipedia, however I believe that the idea proposed by Angusmclellan is an excellent one. Instead of nominating Puerto Rican related images by the masses, the images which have problems will first be listed in the page which I just created: Wikipedia:WikiProject Puerto Rico/Images with problems. We will be given more then sufficient time as a "team" to find sources and make what ever fixes need be in order to keep them from being deleted. This is a Wiki-community team effort regardless of who uploaded the image. I ask all those who really care about the images related to Puerto Rico to post the link "Wikipedia:WikiProject Puerto Rico/Images with problems" in your "watchlists". Book Review
Sorry if this is a bit too infringing, but do you know if Books are able to be reviewed at the normal peer review page? If not, then would you please mind looking over User:Buggie111/Books/The Atlanta Campaign? I'd like to move it into the Book namespace, but I don't know if it's ready.

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back. And if the weather is good, we'll have a star party with the telescopes on the roof of Pupin Hall!

While I am highly ironic, and have a great sense of humor, in particular in the face of Serious Business, I was earnest in that barnstar. The "modest" there is not about the editor, but about the edit itself. He took a completely nasty POV paragraph and turned it, with a few modest edits, into an encyclopedia worthy one. Its part of my policy of celebrating good edits when people do it against the grain of what they hold to be the truth, because we all know truth is not what we are about... perhaps you should consider awarding me this barnstar, which I obviously covet, for some other reason, but here I was being earnest, not ironic...--Cerejota (talk) 05:39, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

not really back, am not sure I have time... Besides this one is preposterous. I mean, the Jerusalem Post called this "an strategic mistake". Its as if Fox News said that Hurricane Katrina was "mishandled". THey cannot find an RS in the world that blames anyone but the political leaderhsip of Israel for this The ultra-Israelites will keep the the OMA LONG LIVE HAMAS SPAs at bay, and they themselves will be obliterated I mean my BFF Wikifan12345 just got his ass handed to him, his mentor is saying he failed, and if he aint contrite, B&HAMMER TAIM!!!1111!!! So far I haven't seen shit hit the fan to the level I want to stop doing my other shit. If it does, let me know if I had not already intervened... I am watching but not closely. --Cerejota (talk) 02:22, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The above matter has been re-listed with an amended proposal to a shorter title, and the period for comments is about to expire. You are welcome to comment if you wish:

Hi. Could you have look at Korean Teachers & Education Workers' Union? I removed an obvious pov passage, but I think there might be other problematic passages as well. --Soman (talk) 19:25, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

speaking as mediator, I need you to do two things:
refactor this to a simple statement, and move the argument to the discussion section below. the 'arguments against' area is not the place for you to make an actual argument like this.
If you're going to contribute to the mediation, please sign on to the mediation, and read and abide by its rules. it's not the correct place for a free-for-all discussion.
If you don't handle this fairly quickly I'll need to do it myself - last thing I want is to let things get out of hand. --Ludwigs206:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, I've gone ahead and {{hat}}ted your comment - you can remove the hat and cot templates when you have moved things around and signed onto the mediation. --Ludwigs207:07, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Any interest in peer reviewing the Rosetta Stone article?

I thought you might be interested in this. Basically, this would give you access to the PediaPress renderer used to print books and should allow you to review book as they would be printed (minus covers). If you find errors and problems, please report them at Help:Books/Feedback.
You either received this message because
You edited several books

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on IRVIN-GQ, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --Nuujinn (talk)23:22, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.
This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!
