Merry Merry!
★Trekker (talk) is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!
Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- Thank you! Season's Greetings to you as well! DonIago (talk) 13:54, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
"Don't Dream It's Over" edit
The use of the song is very important to The Stand, because bonding while listening to it represents a key moment between these two characters, signifying a change in the way they relate to one another in the wake of an apocalypse. (Additionally, the song was used heavily in the miniseries' TV promos of the period.) Just the fact that it's deployed over the opening credits of this episode ought to be enough to qualify it for mention on the song's page, frankly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:375D:F001:F1E1:E3C8:25C1:80AB (talk) 17:49, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- If it's very important, then you should be able to find a reliable source that discusses its use within the miniseries. DonIago (talk) 18:00, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
I'm not certain why I need to relentlessly justify a single sentence of relevant information on a Wiki page to someone who isn't even an admin, but, hey, whatever floats your boat, champ. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:375D:F001:F1E1:E3C8:25C1:80AB (talk) 04:12, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Have you read WP:IPCV? I believe that explains it sufficiently. DonIago (talk) 14:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
restriction of death penalty
Hi Doniago,
Considering that the Commonwealth Defence Act 1903 was legislation, I thought it would be its own source, as anyone can refer to it in Commonwealth legislative records. For the record, I obtained this information from the website of the Australian War Museum (https://www.awm.gov.au/articles/encyclopedia/desertion)
regards

- Thanks for reaching out to me Plerdsus; as far as I'm concerned you're welcome to reinsert that information citing that source. As an American, I wouldn't know the first thing about looking up Commonwealth legislative records. :) DonIago (talk) 16:24, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Phantom of the Opera
Hi Doniaigo, I want to thank you for your welcome and for reaching out. In my eagerness to attempt to improve this page I did not mean to negatively affect it, however, despite the reference apparently used found what was written to be inadequate representation though understand what you pointed out regarding including sources to support the addition especially so it doesn't come off as it likely did. As you noticed I am new at this so I appreciate your input and recommendations as I would like to help build up some of the information here to make it a decent resource or at least jumping-off point for more digging. Hope I responded here appropriately, followed others' examples. Unfortunately, parts of learning involve trial and error so I hope to do better next time. Thank you again! Nature Boy
Thanks for the feedback Doniago. I'm new so I need all the help I can get. Let me know if you see anything else and I'll make the necessary edits. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Phoenix7119 (talk) 17:56, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out to me, and welcome to Wikipedia!
- Unfortunately, I've had to revert your edits again. Per WP:CIRCULAR Wikipedia can't be used as a reference for itself (but you might want to consider copying relevant information/sources from the other article), and I didn't see any mention of "Nature Boy" specifically at the Grammy link you provided. As discussed at WP:SONGCOVER, we need a source that specifically mentions how this cover of the song is significant. Given that Natalie is an artist of some renown, it hopefully won't be too hard to find a source that specifically discusses her cover of this song, but if you're struggling, I can see whether I can find anything, though digging up references isn't one of my strong suits.
- Cheers, and Happy 2021 to you as well! DonIago (talk) 18:37, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
Alright. I understand. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for this information. Enjoy the rest of your day. Phoenix7119 (talk) 17:17, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- You too! Thanks for your understanding! I totally get that Wikipedia can be a bit daunting/frustrating for folks who are new to it, and happy to help if I can. DonIago (talk) 18:43, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi Doniago. No problem. I appreciate your help. If people would just have patience and work together we could get so much accomplished. With that being said, I located a fairly good source. When you have time, check it out and let me know what you think. Until next time. Phoenix7119 (talk) 19:33, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
