Post beatle bands

[edit]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Post beatle bands, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Post beatle bands, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Post beatle bands. tomasz. 13:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Petty

[edit]

I appreciate your efforts to contribute to Wikipedia, but the article on Tom Petty already covers the Heartbreakers in some detail. Rather than create duplication and force readers to search around through multiple articles for information, why not try contributing to the Tom Petty article? --Russ (talk) 17:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Editing help?

[edit]

Hi there. I've seen you make a few edits to Traveling Wilburys, and also that those edits got reverted. I can tell you're trying to help, but your edits needed some work, and a lot of times editors will revert rather than cleaning up needy edits. I want to offer to help because I know how being a new editor can be frustrating sometimes. Leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about editing in general or anything specific that crops up. Thanks! -FrankTobia (talk) 20:24, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies

[edit]

I'd like to apologize for the reverts on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I didn't realize what you were doing and I jumped to conclusions. Just wanted to say great job with the article and keep up the good work! Regards. Thingg 15:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Pett7.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 21:30, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jeff_lynne.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeff_lynne.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 03:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

responded to comments

[edit]

I have responded to your comments at Talk:Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and raised some issues as well. Could you please continue the discussion until we can reach a reasonable consensus or compromise on the issue. Thanks!!! --Jayron32.talk.contribs 00:47, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Forever Young (Bob Dylan song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://lyricwiki.org/Bob_Dylan:Forever_Young. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hi Feeling free! Thanks for the work you have been doing on Wikipedia. I came upon the List of solo albums by The Beatles page that you created. This was a cut and paste of existing pages, and while I can see there could be a useful page made there by creating a sortable table of all the solo albums, the existing layout was unhelpful and would create duplication of work (as one article was updated, so would the other need updating). I have not put the page forward for AfD as I can the potential for it to be made into a sortable table in future, so I have made it into a disambiguation page. If you'd like to discuss with me how to make a sortable table of all the albums, then please get in touch. Regards SilkTork *YES! 11:53, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for offering to help. Yes, I do think making a sortable would be a good idea. --Feeling free (talk) 17:43, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've made a start. Have a look, see what you think. SilkTork *YES!

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Christmas Eve has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Proposed deletion of The Beatles Tributes

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Beatles Tributes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to pay tribute to individuals who are described in an encyclopedic way in their individual articles. See What Wikipedia is Not.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of List of films which share their name with a title of a song

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of films which share their name with a title of a song, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Indiscriminate cross-categories list. Films named after songs? Songs named after films (Breakfast at Tiffany's)? Coincidences? Song and film both named after something else (Wuthering Heights)? These films have nothing in common but this tiny aspect, which is not a defining part of the film in many (even most) cases.

The/the Beatles

[edit]

Yes folks, it's here again. Please look at this link [1] and leave your vote. I thank you.--andreasegde (talk) 08:07, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Bootleg Series has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

All of the information is covered at the respective album articles--all that's needed is a mention at Bob Dylan.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Justin (koavf)TCM 19:44, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
