Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Troon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page P&O. Scotland "politics and governance" edits

I have reverted these because I believe they do not adhere to WP:NPOV or WP:UNDUE. The "international diplomacy" section largely details what Nicola Sturgeon has been doing since becoming First Minister (visiting California, New York, Ireland and Germany). That might be relevant to her own article, but I don't think it is relevant in a more general article. The first two paragraphs ("devolved government relations") are only sourced to the governments themselves. Is this notable, worth detailing in what is supposed to be a general article about Scotland as a whole? Jmorrison230582 (talk) 11:19, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Scottish cuisine into Scotland. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 19:33, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

South Ayrshire

Just a heads up as it seems unlikely the contributor in question is going to notify you of this: Sport and politics has replied to you on her user talk page and has added three sections to the South Ayrshire talk page. Brythones (talk) 13:41, 24 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for working together on this one for the better of the South Ayrshire article. It seems anything on the article is not good enough and the user is willing to through any excuse into the pot to argue her case for removal of the content. Goodreg3 (talk) 19:55, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nicola Sturgeon, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Democratic, Better Together and Edinburgh Agreement (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Billy Gilmour (Scottish footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sir Sputnik (talk) 18:47, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

The article is currently stubbed and as I made clear I will be adding to this article over the coming day which will pollute it further in terms of useful information. The article has barely been created for an hour. With the little information on it already, its already being nominated for deletion, but as I said it will be getting added to over the coming days. Please bare with me. Goodreg3 (talk) 18:50, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Mcmanus

Please stop the aggressive personal attacks on this page, and the childish threats. Please use talk to agree what is allowed to be posted on the page before making changes to unsourced claims. If we work together then we can get the age looking better and stop the edit wars you seem to be attempting. Please assume good faith from all other editors. There is no need to just start accusing me and being offensive because I asked for a source for the record label claim. Thats what you are supposed to do on wiki. Once we have a source then we can add this back to the page, but not without oneSimply-the-truth (talk) 20:01, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Simply the truth obviously has an agenda against McManus, which is damaging the credibility of her article. WP:NOTHERE clearly applies. Thanks for keeping an eye on this troll. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:6A60:8000:1D17:78DA:875C:2EA1 (talk) 21:14, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

It’s a two way street and I can just as easily turn the “personal attacks” rubbish back onto you. You are on my talk page and I could easily accuse you of being abusive. Follow your own advice, provide references to otherwise dispute the claims on the article. If you actually read the edits rather than edit war (yes, you are engaging in an edit war) then you will see a reference had been provided to support the stabilisment of her own record label. Goodreg3 (talk) 18:11, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Errr? Do you understand what a personal attack is? Please feel free to point any of mine out, ill wait???? There is not source at all anywhere that she set her own record label up? She said she would, that is not a source, you understand that right? I have reported you for making threats that you have the power to ban me etcSimply-the-truth (talk) 14:45, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Aw please. Get over yourself. If, according to you, I don't have the power to block you, then I highly doubt you have the power to report me for making "threats" (Please, point me to any threat worthy of being reported. Wikipedia Community Guidelines have long been established and there are strict rules and protocols against trolls and sockpuppets such as yourself). So, if I were you, I would quit whilst you are ahead! Goodreg3 (talk) 20:43, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Stop threatening me and leaving your "word of warning"

Your constant harassment has been reported, and your childish threats just literally make me lol. Simply-the-truth (talk) 20:17, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

You clearly haven't accepted a word I have said, which clearly shows your immaturity. I stand by what I say because I'm not wasting my time on you any longer as you are the childish one and being threatening here. I actually totally pity you, I really, really do. Take my word of warning as some kind advice. Your time will come anyway and will get blocked, just don't moan when you do because you had plenty of warning. Now, please, go troll elsewhere. Cherio. Goodreg3 (talk) 20:19, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
My advice to both of you, stop arguing and go on with your lives.--Biografer (talk) 20:28, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Which is exactly what I am trying to do by reaching out to the user and calling quits. Please visit their talk page and you will see this was ignored and actually removed by the user. Goodreg3 (talk) 20:29, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I seen their talkpage, but if they don't want to discuss it there, they should discuss it here. Correct me if I am wrong, but they suppose to discuss it somewhere. My other suggestion would be to seek dispute resolution at AN/I.--Biografer (talk) 16:58, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
What's even more strange is that he leaves the welcome message, although that can be removed as well. But maybe he keeps it because of helpful links, which I can see he is clearly not here to abide by.--Biografer (talk) 17:03, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
@Goodreg3 - Simply the Truth is an immature person who is only here to wind people up - that's all. Best to ignore him and wait for an admin to pick up on his disruption and ban him. His behaviour isn't normal but with people like this, it's best just to ignore them otherwise they will keep going on and on and on and on and on..... Peace! LoveEverybodyUnconditionally (talk) 18:23, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
If you really want to call it quits, im all for it mate. Must admit your tone (if you can have tone when typing!!) did wind me up, as im sure I did to you as well. I really was trying to improve that article, and hate unsourced claims as you know now! So, both in the wrong. Apology from my side, lets start again. Copying licensed material requires proper attribution

Hi. I see in a recent addition to South Ayrshire you included material from a webpage that is available under an Open Government Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this legal requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:53, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

Edinburgh is in the United Kingdom. You can also see that the colors in the EYM logo are the ones of the Union Jack flag.Dimsar01 Talk ⌚→ 19:28, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Yes Edinburgh is in the United Kingdom, and yes the logo shows the British flag colours, however, the argument could also be the host broadcaster is BBC Scotland (only applicable to Scottish broadcasting, therefore, could be argued Scotland is credited with hosting titles). However, to avert confusion, both Scotland and United Kingdom has been added, as no matter what way you look at it, Edinburgh is in Scotland, and the main broadcast itself spoke solely of Scotland and Edinburgh being the Capital of Scotland, no mention of the United Kingdom. Goodreg3 (talk) 19:30, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
@Goodreg3: As I can see in your user page, you support the independence of Scotland. Your opinion is respected but in WP we try to have a neutral point of view. Also, in all song contest infoboxes, we never add the region of the city; just the city and the country. —Dimsar01 Talk ⌚→ 19:34, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, but what has me supporting Scottish independence got to do with correctly displaying the geographical location of cities? That is a rather narrow minded viewpoint if I may say so myself. The adding of this information has absolutely nothing to do with my support of Scottish independence. Also, Scotland is not a "Region" as you describe it, it is a country (please see Countries of the United Kingdom, which refers to the term "countries within a country"}. Granted, the United Kingdom is the sovereign state, but Scotland is by no means a "region". Thanks! Goodreg3 (talk) 19:38, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Could you read over WP:Galleries.....best a GA article follows our basic guidelines.--Moxy (talk) 23:16, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Celebritynetworth.com as a source

Hi Goodreg3 . I noticed that you recently used celebritynetworth.com as a source for biographical information in Michelle McManus. Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. I've gone ahead and removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. You may want to check WP:RSP and WP:RSN to help determine if a source is reliable. WP:COPYWITHIN

As I have already indicated, please do not unthinkingly copy/paste vast, wholesale swathes of texts from other articles as you have at Scotland. Familiarise yourself with WP:COPYWITHIN. Bute House

Hi - Please do not copy and paste material from the guidebook as you did with this article. It is a copyright violation. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 00:23, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Mutt Lunker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kilmarnock, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Do not cite sources which provide no support for your edits. That was an article about a historical entity. Mutt Lunker (talk) 01:52, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kilmarnock. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You are persisting in the wholesale copying and pasting of material, into articles in contravention of WP:COPYWITHIN and WP:COPYVIO, despite multiple warnings; I have only just noticed that you have been being warned about this for years now. Please desist. Pinging @Diannaa: for comment, as an admin who has been periodically intervening. Mutt Lunker (talk) 13:29, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

I have added a comment to your personal talk page Matt as I am really not happy about this and your previous revert on the KIlmarnock page. Please provide support of your claim for copyright violations. I can’t help but feel these reverts are personal, and stated by myself before. Please let’s participate in a constructive conversation about this and find a resolution. It’s been claimed that my edits have been disruptive, and, quite simply, I feel that accusation is false and quite frankly insulting. Goodreg3 (talk) 17:05, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Firstly, as you have posted in this section, I'll make it clear that your recent edits to Bute House were unambiguously copied and pasted from another site, without substantial paraphrase or editing. You have been doing this kind of thing repeatedly in recent days and, I now realise, have been warned about this for years. It's a bit rich to feel insulted about something you have substantial and recent form for. I now see that your edit regarding Johnnie Walker at Kilmarnock was not an addition of the material but a move of existing material. This material, and some other material that you edited, can be found in other documents but, if this is a copyvio, it was not down to your edits of today. You can't, however, be surprised if you are cut less slack with such an established modus operandum, executed so recently. Unpinging @Diannaa:, as in this instance it appears to have been a false alarm. Mutt Lunker (talk) 18:06, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
