Stop Adding Info You Have NO Clue About!!!

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Diego De Souza Gama Silva, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. =David(talk)(contribs) 04:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tunisian national caps

[edit]

Hi. Noticed you'd updated the international appearances for Mehdi Nafti and Radhi Jaidi among others. Can you tell me where you get the figures from, as I've never managed to find a reliable and up-to-date source. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 13:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Yuji Rokutan, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yuji Rokutan. Cameroon national football team

[edit]

Hello, I saw you created this page a few months ago. It was vandalized by user:67.53.121.93 on December, 10, but successively edited by several others. I think you could better take a look at it. Reverting the vandalisme just like that is not possible anymore. And I don't know anything about the subject. Soczyczi (talk) 20:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles about J-League footballers

[edit]

Hello. I've noticed that you have created many new articles about footballers who play in the J-League. I appreciate your efforts to expand Wikipedia's coverage of football in Japan, but would like to ask that you add at least one source to these articles. The only English-language website that covers the J-League (that I'm aware of) appears to be Guardian's Stats Centre. Please see how I added it as a source for Yuto Sato. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 18:53, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why not add the references, sure you do use references? Punkmorten (talk) 11:38, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. It appears that you continue to create several new articles which provide no sources (e.g., Keisuke Shimizu). Please add references at the time you create the article as it creates a backlog of work for other editors to fill in the sources later. I've added references to dozens of articles you started and it's difficult guessing the sources that you used to create the article. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help. Thank you. Jogurney (talk) 01:31, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of William Pinheiro Rodrigues

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article William Pinheiro Rodrigues, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Article fails WP:N and WP:ATHLETE as it is about a non-notable footballer who has not yet played in a fully-pro league

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please help

[edit]

Hello. I'm not sure that you check your messages, but I wanted to ask your help with the Category:Japanese footballers articles you have created. There is a list of over 500 articles at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Unreferenced BLPs/Sorted by country/Category:Japanese footballers which need references. I have added references to more than 300 others, but I don't have enough time to fix all of these articles. It appears that you created almost all of them, so I'm sure you have a source (such as the J-League website or maybe Guardian's Stats Centre). Anything you can do to help will be appreciated. Thank you. Jogurney (talk) 01:34, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Junichi! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 35 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Iraqi football transfers summer 2009. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Iraqi football transfers summer 2009. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:15, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Taisuke Muramatsu has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ýusup Orazmämmedow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Kim Seng-yong

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Kim Seong Yong a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Kim Seng-yong. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you.
