Speedy deletion nomination of Neelakanta Dikshitar
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Neelakanta Dikshitar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --IShadowed 04:03, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Sholavandan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thenkarai (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Sudarsana Mahadevendra Saraswati has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Vigyani (talk) 03:18, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Atma Bodhendra Saraswati, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://knramesh.blogspot.in/2011/09/atma-bhodendra.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 03:32, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

We noticed though that when you edited Ilaiyattangudi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tirupathur (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Kamalashile has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- seems to fail WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Uberaccount (talk) 03:01, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

- In response to your message, I am pleased to see that various improvements have been made to the article. Here are my comments on your references:
- It is fine to include the company's official website, as long as it is an external link and recognised as not being a reliable third-party source, and as you say, it is the norm.
- http://www.dnb.co.in/ITSMEs2007/profile%5CLister%20Technologies%20(P)%20Limited.pdf - This appears to be a directory entry - fine for basic information about the company.
- “references from various partner companies of Lister.” Partner companies of Lister are self-evidently not independent third-party sources.
- The references from the press and media websites look okay apart from: http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/lister-technologies-shares-best-practices-in-business-intelligence-for-hospitals-1501658.htm This is a press release generated by Lister themselves and therefore not independent.
- “Various B2B portals which explain about Lister” - These are all advertisements/promotional entries with wording provided by Lister themselves. None of them are independent or reliable.
- “Can you please explain what else exactly you need?” It’s not a question of what I need; it’s a question of following Wikipedia guidelines.~ If you remove the promotional links I highlighted above, I'll be happy to remove the tags.Deb (talk) 11:10, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

- Please understand that links to the company's own website or to advertisements on other websites are not considered reliable or independent sources. Please replace these with reliable third-party references or the article may be deleted again.Deb (talk) 11:59, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:SriPoornaMahaMeru.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:SriPoornaMahaMeru.jpg, which you've attributed to http://sripoornamahameru.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/MahaMeru.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:04, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]An article you recently created, Sivan SAR, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ─ The Aafī (talk) 17:41, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
