Orphaned non-free image File:GravityFalls.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:GravityFalls.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:26, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:9 Story Entertainment.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:9 Story Entertainment.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. IMDB is generally not a reliable source

[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Matt Bennett. You added Bennett's alleged date of birth, based on his IMDB profile. However, IMDB is not considered a reliable source for date of birth or other biographical information. You'll need to find the date in a reliable source before it can be added to the article. —C.Fred (talk) 21:39, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to the page The Amazing World of Gumball appears to have added incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. Copy-and-paste move

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to the articles Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and List of Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness episodes. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. STOP! Do not change it to 9/19/11? Do NOT! change it to 9/19/11? If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dick Figures requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Στc. 23:42, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, KittyKo'sCute, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Danielle Morrow, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! Geraldo Perez (talk) 01:22, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Scaredy Squirrel.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Scaredy Squirrel.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Thanks for uploading File:Mr. Lawrence 2011 Comic Con.jpg. However, it needs some more work before it is okay to use on Wikipedia.

Please click here and do the following:

  1. Add a description of where the image comes from (not what it is) and who the creator is. Please be specific, and include a link if you can.
  2. Find the appropriate license from the list of free, non-free media, or public domain options. Copy the license template and paste it in the file's page, and save.

I have rolled back the list, as the source you was using is a fan's blog, and there for unreliable. I know you want to help, but the best way at this point is to wait until a press release is issued or the source used reflects this development. Also, in the future if you have found a possible source, please bring it either the list's discussion page or to here before adding it to the article. Plus, if and when you are adding a source deemed reliable, please use the cite web template for website sources instead of bare URLs. Sarujo (talk) 02:09, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, I'll ask you not to add unreliable sources. I specifically stated the the previous site was unreliable, yet you re-added it. Deletion notifications

[edit]

Hi,

You recently received a message about either "Articles for Deletion" or "Proposed Deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions, so that we can try to improve those notices in a WikiProject I work with:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

Feel free to answer here or send me your response by email (swalling@wikimedia.org). I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that. Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag.
