Exactly how is sourcing done?

How is sourcing done? Can anyone tell me in the simplest way possible?

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Nothing Sacred (David Allan Coe album) into David Allan Coe. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 15:39, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

David Allen Coe albums[edit]

Thanks for creating these articles – while I am 99% certain that they are notable enough for Wikipedia, I just wanted to point out a couple of things. Firstly, much of the text is what we call "original research"... that is, it's your own opinion about the style of music or playing, what the lyrics are about, whether Coe was at a high spot or low point in his life and career, etc. Please see WP:OR – we try not to give our opinions about any article on Wikipedia, and simply report the facts. It may well be true that a song is about, say, a girl leaving the country to head to the city, but we can't just say "it's obvious from listening to the lyrics that this is the subject", we would actually need to cite a reliable source that states this fact. Secondly, I've had to change the AllMusic link on many of your articles because you've simply copied and pasted the same link on all of them, and it's for a different album – please try and watch this in future. Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 20:11, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mirlybia

Thank you for creating D.A.C. (album).

User:North8000, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

It lacks sources or achievements for wp:notability, but the article is highly notable. I could not find sourcing but based on the credible detailed unsourced info in her I presume that they exist. Combined with being a sort of support article for the artist / discography., I'm marking it as reviewed. Suggest at least adding whatever sources the current text came from.
