Welcome![edit]

Hi Mitsukai, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Your Nevada-tan edits[edit]

Hey, just saw the edits you made to Nevada-tan. Just wanted to say, great work! The article is alot clearer now. Keep it up!

Category:Mexica (Aztec) religion[edit]

I noticed you added the CfD notice to this category on May 3, but never listed it at WP:CFD. If you don't list it there, it'll never be deleted. --Kbdank71 15:58, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whoops. Forgot about that. Thanks for the heads-up.--Mitsukai 16:09, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • No problem. Just wanted to help.  :) --Kbdank71 16:41, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProjects[edit]

Hello, Mitsukai! I noticed that anime, film, military, and Japanese culture are among your interests. Maybe you could join some of these WikiProjects:

You've contributed nicely to Wikipedia, so I just thought you'd take an interest in reforming articles to a higher standard in those areas. ^_^

Re: Article[edit]

Hi Mitsukai, I don't get what you mean by "don't need to sign on articles". Please could you throw more light on it. Thanks.

Deletion[edit]

Howdy! Boy, you're sure working on those speedy-deletions tonight! -- THEBlunderbuss 04:08, May 14, 2005 (UTC)

  • Trying to cut the crap out as quickly as possible before it gets into the mainstream, where it'll be harder to find. Least thing we need is to have some page there for months or longer that somehow managed to get past everyone, ya know? ^_^ --Mitsukai 04:09, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree — I'd take it to VfD (I'll certainly vote for deletion). Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:41, 15 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

VfD[edit]

I recommend you use Google [1] before posting VfDs about notable people as "vanity" on my behalf. If your unsure, don't clutter VfD. Hedley 16:53, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Juliet (artist). The thing that annoys me is that you claimed it was 'vanity' on my behalf without checking (obviously). I think you could of definetly ruled out the non-notability and vanity theory by Googling even for the song. Certainly, if anything, its a cleanup-quality candidate. Hedley 17:11, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • No offense intended when I said vanity - I didn't expect that you were the artist behind it. However, I have seen "fanpoodles" (term for overeager fans) place Wiki entries before. And I gave additional reasons for my comment in the VFD. --Mitsukai 17:14, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please ensure from now on that before you post a VfD header you're sure that the article has not already been considered for deletion but has been voted as a keep. Thank you. (see Sullivan (band)) Ridethefire3211 01:16, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Japanese name of Theresia Unno in Kanji[edit]

Disambiguation[edit]

You have commented on Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation. Could you share your opinion on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Alessandra? —Lowellian (talk) 00:39, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)

Hey Mitsukai.[edit]

Hey this is the guy who made the additions to the Paranoia Agent article. I ended up getting an account, but I don't think I know enough Japanese other than some basic gist of some things to really help out with hard translations, most especially Kanji.

But I will try to add reasonably quality additions to anime and manga stuff if I can, as well as other things. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for really helping out with putting together PA's article. Together I think we really made it impressive, and the series really deserves it I think. As it was my first major addition to Wikipedia you could of been a lot harsher with altering the content I uploaded but instead you helped construct it with me. So I'm very grateful for that, it was a great learning experience. Thanks, and take care. :3 --Kiyosuki 04:23, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Nevada-tan red room video[edit]

hi, you reverted my change about the red room video being a "horror flash" not a "shock flash".... i changed it to signify that its not a "screamer", its just a horror story told in flash video form.... have a look at Prank flash#Red Room where i also explained the same thing. so i think it shouldnt be called a "shock flash" because that suggests its some kind of trick on the viewer, which this isn't. Carolee Schneemann[edit]

Thanks for expanding Carolee Schneemann. I've been waiting for that. Eixo 01:46, 14 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WaRP[edit]

Hi! Your note prompted me to look a little deeper into the WaRP/DC relationship. From these two sources, [2] & [3], I've concluded that the their relationship is pretty much just a licencing agreement. I'll make any necessary changes to the articles to reflect this. See you.... ike9898 07:41, July 16, 2005 (UTC)

Amy Diamond[edit]

I removed your speedy-tag from Amy Diamond, as it doesn't qualify as a candidate for speedy deletion. You're welcome to nominate it on VfD if you think it should go. u p p l a n d 19:38, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding anime categories[edit]

"Mitsukai m (removing anime cat as it is referenced in the root cat)"

But that's not a good idea in Yu-Gi-Oh!'s case, as the franchise (Yu-Gi-Oh!) in question has three anime series (two of them based off of the original series), and all three should have their own seperate "anime" category links.

What could be done here is a "Yu-Gi-Oh!-related anime" category. WhisperToMe 10:51, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain your recent removal of category: Japanese terms from articles where it seems it belongs, eg: Kimono and Names of Japan? Exploding Boy 22:18, August 13, 2005 (UTC)

Can I ask you why you removed Category:Companies of Japan from the Honda article? I'm not saying it was wrong, but I can't figure out the reasoning. Rl 08:38, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I got your answer – about half a dozen times so far :-). Thank you for the explanation! Rl 12:31, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Invid[edit]

Just wanted to let you know that you seem to have a link to Invid on your user page. I wanted to let you know that Invid is now a disambiguation page, and you may wish to link to the proper page (either Invid (Robotech) or Invids (Star Wars). – Mipadi 23:49, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed that you moved the material from Yamamura Sadako to Sadako Yamamura (as well as improving it). That's fine (I prefer it the way you have it, but I don't think there's a standard which requires it). However, in the future, please use the Move Page function instead of just cutting and pasting text from one place to another. For one thing, you've obscured the authorship history of the article. By the way, thanks for your improvements. - Nat Krause 05:41, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It does indeed seem to be mostly derived from that one site. At the very least, the person who added that content violated Wikipedia's cite-your-sources policy.

I'm not sure if the overall summary is enough of a paraphrase to escape direct copyvio, but it's certainly a possible copyvio in my opinion. — ceejayoz 18:02, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Glomp[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to say that you did a good job rewriting the Glomp article! It's a lot more encyclopedic now, so hopefully it won't be nominated for AfD again. Kamezuki 23:04, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As a member of WikiProject Comics, I thought you might be interested in the Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight we have set up. Please feel free to vote on the articles listed, although bear in mind that a vote for a particular article means you are pledging to help improve the article. The goal of the collaboration is to improve articles to Featured Article status, as we feel Comics is under-represented in that area. Thanks for your help. Emily Rose - Anneliese Michel[edit]

Hi Mitsukai.

My name is René aka MacReady. I am the author of the "real" Anneliese Michel Biography. The article was posted on Wikipedia by someone who just stole it from one of the sites i gave it to. Like i wrote, only MoviesOnline.ca and Horror-Movies.ca have the permission to use it. If people say it is also on this or this site, its always my article (the original in crappy English or the new edited one) just copied and pasted without my permission.

Of course it is very clear that if someone posts it here without crediting the source, the site that uses it also only credits Wikipedia because the editors dont know it better. But you can be sure that every site i found got an email (Movieweb already took their article down). Also Virginia Ghosts has been informed.

Best Regards, René aka MacReady

About your edits on Air;Controversy[edit]

Hi, just want to clear something up but from what source did you obtain the information that Sony BMG (Taiwan) has issued a recall of the CD containing the offending material?

I still notice it on sale in my home country, Singapore, sold by trusted, established names here. Furthermore, a look-through of Key's main page and a scouring of many Chinese sites (especially those of Sony BMG (Taiwan)) hasn't turned up any results stating that they have indeed done so.

Hey[edit]

Hey. There's been a dispute on the Ryu (Street Fighter) discussion page (and the Chun-Li one) regarding having trivia about ties between Ryu and Chun-Li posted. I've cited the sources that verify that some works include such ties, but Locke Cole is being unbelievably immature and calling both edits fancruft when he can't prove that claim (fancruft is detailed). Since you'd previously helped edit Chun-Li's page with information regrading this, I'd appreciate if you'd contribute a word or two on either discussion page about why the trivia should stay (if you feel that way). Thanks. --James26 12:30, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Magatama.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Sadako Reference[edit]

If I come up with a quick line to place in the Sadako Yamamura page, do you mind if I run it by you first to see if you agree that it complies? The S

All right, I think I have something that might satisfy Wikipedia's rules. It could come directly following the paragraph on S-Ko and Zappa:

"In addition, many other video games have had references to Sadako and/or Samara. The game Fatal Frame II (Zero 2 in Japan), has a ghost with long, black hair which crawls out a well. The PC game Stone Smash has a Sadako-like character named Junketsuko hidden in one of the levels. Also, in Silent Hill 4, the player encounters a ghost named Cynthia, who bares a striking resemblence to Sadako." The S

I've noticed you've uploaded some images tagged with {{web-screenshot}}. This tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages; it's meant to be used for images of Web pages (such as Image:Wikipedia.PNG, for example). I've retagged the images below as having no license information. Hi! I've replaced Image:!mpactlogo.jpg with an .svg image, Image:Impact_Comics_logo.svg, which should decrease filesize, eliminate artifacts, and enable scaling to high resolutions. I've put the old version up for deletion. I hope this is an improvement. Deco 11:35, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Paranoia Agent[edit]

"Keiichi" in standard Hepburn is written "Kei'ichi", not Keīchi. Even then, the Geneon Dub has its own romanizations, so the article will use the Geneon romanizations with the "proper" ones as sidenotes. WhisperToMe 05:39, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of wikify tag[edit]

Hi. Do you have a reason for your unexplained removal of my {{wikify}} tag from 40kforums.com? The article certainly does seem to fit in with the Guide to layout to me. If nothing else, the title is not bold. Yes, it's a stub, but that shouldn't prevent it being a high quality article? Cheers --Pak21 16:08, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Honestly, no. The tag I was looking for was {{wikify}}, which (at least according to) Category:Articles that need to be wikified means "This category contains articles that need wikifying, that is, formatting the articles according to the guidelines laid out at Wikipedia:Guide to layout."; wikification involves much more than just adding links to an article. In any case, if want I "meant" was {{expand}}, I don't understand why you just removed my tag with no explanation. Cheers --Pak21 16:18, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All I did was add a wikify tag. Assulted Peanut 22:33, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anime and manga barnstar[edit]

The discussion has been stagnant for a while and no one clarified to me what can or cannot be used on a barnstar (in terms of copyright), but now I made a fully self-made anime/manga barnstar, seeking approval. If the image isn't good then maybe you can also try to create one. Bottom line is that I really want an anime and manga barnstar approved :) Head over here for the discussion. -- Y Ynhockey || Talk Y 19:57, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JMyth Infobox[edit]

The version you're working on in your sandbox is way, way better than the current version. Hope you get it worked out and up and running soon. MikeDockery 14:33, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said, what you've got looks way better than the current version to me. One question, should the "M" in "Japanese mythology" be capitalized? I don't know how other infoboxes do it. I think you'd see plenty of interest in a Japanese mythology Wikiproject. I don't know much about Japanese mythology, just the basics mostly, but I live in Japan, so I could perhaps help out with photos and stuff. Let me know what I can do. Amerime[edit]

I've seen amerime through three previous deletions, and I'm telling you that our chances are poor, although the fact that this is on AfD rather than Speedy-AfD is a very, very good sign. If you can provide some kind of documentation that this term existed before I made it up separately the first time, then we've got ourselves a winner. -Litefantastic 00:15, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking consensus on Kawaii contention[edit]

Hello, I notice you have participated in the Kawaii contention that has now resulted in a protected article of low quality. I have proposed some informal "findings of fact" in the form of Talk:Kawaii#Informal consensus resolution and Talk:Kawaii#Referendum on "loanword" statement as original research/novel interpretation. I believe these propositions are palatable to majority consensus from both sides of the issue, and that a record of such consensus could move the article forward and help restore good faith. Please review the proposal and record your response. The Crow 23:31, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
