I actually took a look at the articles (both in Spanish and in English), and although some Spanish articles seem to claim it indeed MAY have been a F&F weapon, and are leaning more to that idea, the English ones claim that they were mere speculations. How about if I use these sources? [2] This one shows that the McAllen area has been one of the fastest growing urban areas over the past two decades. I also researched and found that McAllen (as of this year) is among the cheapest places to live in the U.S. [3] It is also among the best places to retire in the nation, according to a 2011 U.S. News. [4] It was ranked as the 4th best performing city in Texas.[5] The only one I'm not so sure about is the one of the pro-business climate. The McAllen Chamber of Commerce, however, mentions that the city has among the best climates to do business.[6] And, it is worth mentioning that Texas ranked #1 for it that same year.[7] What do you think?

(Quick ignorant reply.) If they are reliable sources then they are worth adding, IMO. There is a section in McAllen on the economy. I'm curious, however, to what extent excess Medicare spending in McAllen (unwarranted variation) is a factor in boosting the growth. And to what extent is the poverty a factor behind why it is a cheap place to live? We need to think about the whole picture, and try to tie things together with context and reliable sources (but not original research). We're not here to collect lists, primarily, but to write high-quality prose. Thanks for your reply and thanks for your research. I share your concern with the article adopting the language of the Chamber of Commerce. Pro-business climate is a peacock term/WP:WTW in my opinion. On your recent edit HERE, do you have a citation for the change? As recent as 03/23/2009, Univision [8] listed him as Golf-Zetas operative. Actually, the same seems to apply to various other changes you recently made, such as Flavio Méndez Santiago. It would be best to have a citation for each one of the changes, as news sources had last identified these drug lords as Gulf-Zetas. Flags

Hi. Thanks for your message. If you look at WP:ICONDECORATION guideline you'll see it says;

"Avoid adding icons that provide neither additional information (what the icon looks like itself is not additional information unless the icon is the subject of the article) to the article subject nor navigational or layout cues that aid the reader. Icons should serve a purpose other than solely decoration."

and MOS:FLAGS guideline says;

"Words as the primary means of communication should be given greater precedence over flags".

In the case of the 2011 Monterrey casino attack article, the countries that the person/statement came from is already stated, so adding the flags only amounts to decoration that detracts from the text. It doesn't actually help convey additional information, and doesn't help the reader navigate the article. It's not as if there are quotes from every country and the reader might scan the page for a particular flag. It's not as if the article was an international competition with each quote "flying the flag" for their particular country.

Personally I'd say that the December 2011 Nigeria bombings is equally at fault. These flags give the country reactions prominence over others, such as those from domestic and religious organisations. They may not merit this prominence. Is the reaction of Japan more notable than that of the Islamic Circle of North America? --Escape Orbit ^(Talk) 19:14, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Hey how's it going? I think we need to make some amends, because you continue to refer to EARLY YEARS when he was already a professional. "Early years" is just for his UE Lleida beginnings, then he signed IMMEDIATELY with Liverpool.

Then, we can continue to refer to "Liverpool" when he played for other clubs because he BELONGED to Liverpool, he was loaned. In 2009, he was released and joined Real Betis, which already has its due section. And i don't think the dash is wrong because i have seen it in tons of articles.

Photo replacements

Hi and thank you for your message. Could I please be allowed to quote you? "The picture simply serves to illustrate what parts of Italy a crime group operates in. ". If this is the purpouse of the map, it is uncorrect. Camorra (like other criminal groups) is not solely operating in Campania, but also in other Italian regions, like Lombardia, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, and generally speaking anywhere there is the opportunity to make money. So, if the purpouse is showing where that criminal organization is operating, those regions should also have to be reported in red in the map. Also, since camorra is operative in UK, USA (as reported by the article) and also in Spain (I have support materials for this), these territories should have to be added too. IMHO, since it is not easy to collect all the territories where this (as other) criminal organization(s) are operating, I feel it would be better to use some other iconographic reference for illustrative purpouses, or, if you want to maintain the geographical approach, to update the image. Hi, I'm happy to help, if I can :-)!

As I can read from the Italian equivalent of this page, it is even still contentious that the origins of Camorra could be for sure traced to Campania region. According to some hypotheses reported on that page, it could have been originated in Cagliari (Sardinia) as a "criminal police" used by Aragona dinasty's authorities to maintain the control of the port and slums; and successively transferred to Campania when this region, then part of the Kingdom of Naples, fell under the control of Aragona family. Under these hypothesis, the map is unfit all right.

As I said, it is also difficult to exactly trace all the places where Camorra is exploiting its criminal actions (it is not like they make advertisements you know :-) ), and therefore any choice we could do about their representation in a map would be partially correct at best.

So, my working hypothesis (and this was the sense of my intervention) is that, while being under this uncertainty, and the need of making the image accompanying the title as representative of voice's matter as possible, it is better to use the image of some well-known mobster, or the photo of some process against these criminals. Yep, I think so. I only debolded the second link so people wouldn't get confused that it was a double nom. (The DYK criteria require much more radical expansion than ITN, so the "List of..." article wouldn't make it.)

If you end up enjoying DYK, btw, it might be a great outlet for the articles you've been creating like Juan Mejía González--a way to get another pair of eyes and some main page exposure, which usually leads to brief help from another 5-10 editors. On the other hand, it can be a bit time-consuming (and occasionally frustrating) to go through the reviews, and do the quid pro quo reviews once you've done your initial 5. Wherever you put it, though, thanks for all your good new content in an under-represented area of Wikipedia. I've enjoyed poking around through the articles you started over the last half hour or so! Thanks for you help! And I'm really going to consider the DYK. I had no idea how the actual thing worked. I'll be reading the guidelines and information about it tonight. Unfortunately, I'll be back in school in only two weeks, so that will definitely slow down my work.

BTW, thank you for your contributions as well. I've noticed that you contribute on a number of subjects. I try my best to get out of the Mexican Drug War-bubble every once in a while to make a few corrections and updates on other articles, but definitely not as much as you do. Keep it up!
