A barnstar for you![edit]

The Special Barnstar
Hey there Patrick, I just wanted to thank you for helping out another new user at the AfC help desk. You picked up very quickly on some nuances of policy that many people have trouble with, and I hope you stick around even after the article you're working on now is finished. :) Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:17, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of tea for you![edit]

Good work at the AfC help desk! I find that I'm too slow and even when I start answering a question almost instantaneously, you still pre-emt me... I hope you don't mind if I sometimes still post the screeds I have written up - apparently our perspectives are often different; for example I had missed the User:Jalegum conflict of interest. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Nina Vaca.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Nina Vaca.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 01:09, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help desk question for you :-)[edit]

Could you please have a look at this AfC help desk question? You have recently submitted a draft and know whether there will be a notification via email - I believe I read something to that effect, but I have no personal experience. Thanks in advance, Huon (talk) 19:32, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been playing with the page, and moved the 2010 stuff to a separate section. I suggest that you pick your designated spot, and set a picnic start time asap. Also, you'll want to reach out to other Dallasites on-wiki from that page, the talk page and any related wikiprojects. BTW, I notice that you haven't officially signed on as an attendee yet! (I'm just a NYer trying to help with Wiknics in general.--Pharos (talk) 00:54, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are you still actively working on this? If yes, please put more precise time/location details, and try to reach out to other Wiki-Dallasites. If no, that let me know that too, we don't want people going to an empty picnic!--Pharos (talk) 01:41, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize for that; I have been out of the country for a while so I haven't been actively working on it. However, I put it up as a potential event (I was unclear since it was done quickly before I left) and wasn't able to check my own schedule before opening it up. I'll make it more clear now and unfortunately I don't think I can attend that weekend. However, I still enjoy the idea of the event and I hope to make a Dallas event possible even if I can't be in attendance. I will go revise the page to reflect this and try and raise awareness so that other Dallasites can take the reigns and make this possible. Patrick Bradshaw (talk) 16:36, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Nina Vaca.jpg needs authorship information[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Nina Vaca.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Patrick Bradshaw}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:29, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
