  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Your draft article, Draft:Harsh Gupta

[edit]

Hello, Shraycapital. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Harsh Gupta".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:33, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Harsh Gupta (researcher) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Harsh Gupta (researcher), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Harsh Gupta (researcher), give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Shraycapital, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Shraycapital|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 42.106.216.114 (talk) 08:28, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have confirmed on my user page that I have not direct or indirect affiliations with Draft:Harsh Gupta (researcher), nor being paid directly or indirectly by them/him/her.

You are creating drafts and articles of your company and relatives/employees and moving them to mainspace bypassing AFC review42.106.216.114 (talk) 08:48, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have not Created any pages without bypassing the Afc review process. Further I have disclosed conflict of interest in all related pages including The Good food project an others. Harsh Gupta is not related to me by any means, just trying to add information and contribute. Shraycapital (talk) 08:52, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Harsha Gupta is a relative of Shray Gupta who is the co-founder of Good food project. Please do not use Wikipedia for promotional purpose. 42.106.216.114 (talk) 08:56, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Shraycapital, please do as you have already twice been asked here – make an appropriate paid-editor or conflict-of-interest disclosure for each topic that you have a connection to. That surely includes The Good Food Project. You should not make any mainspace (article space) edit relating to these topics, but are permitted to edit in draft space once disclosure has been made. Is your username the name of a company? If so, please change it; I can do that for you if you ask here, on this page. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:09, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Have made the conflict of interest disclosure on both The Good Food Project and Draft:Shray Gupta. However there is not conflict of interest on Draft:Harsh Gupta (researcher) Shraycapital (talk) 10:14, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website - I have blocked this account. Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a change of username of your current account here. The new username must represent only yourself as an individual and comply with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. Orange Mike | Talk 17:00, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I dont represent an organisation or group or club at all !! Why does it give that impression. Shraycapital (talk) 06:55, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Shraycapital (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I dont represent an organisation or group or club at all My username is Shraycapital is derived from my name ‘Shray” and my home state of ‘delhi’ which is also the ‘capital’ of India and hence shraycapital. I am mentioned all COI for The good food project (of whihc I am a co-founder) but I am not representing an organistion here, till now I have contributed to only put out unbiased facts for the organisation that i help co-found. Shraycapital (talk) 07:02, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Since you say you are creating a new username(although you don't need to) there is no need to take action with this request. However, if you do not comply with and edit consistent with WP:COI and WP:PAID, you will be blocked on your new username. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If one reads your username as "Shray Capital" it appears to be a business that raises funds to start businesses("capital") or for investing. That said, Orangemike this seems plausible to me, and my searches could not find a company by such a name. Do you have additional concerns or information? 331dot (talk) 07:17, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The name as explained is not problematic; but we cannot permit Shray to continue to promote and publicise an organization for which they have such a strong conflict of interest. Shray, what else would you be doing here, completely unrelated to this conflict of interest of yours? --Orange Mike | Talk 12:30, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I concur but didn't want to step on your toes without asking. :) 331dot (talk) 15:16, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am good with adding information about funding, entrepreneurs and innovations happening around me and specially in Delhi. Since its a volunteering organisation anyways, I think committing to contributing is not a question that seems warranted. “Blocking” for a user who is contributing to an organisation that is associated with them seems a bit too rough in my opinion. I would however commit to not editing The good food project, since its “discouraged” but not “banned”. I read the conflict on interest guidelines, I dont personally see anything “wrong” that I may have done which violates the guidelines. Will let you take that decision. In any case will make a new username. Shraycapital (talk) 15:57, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Shraycapital (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

have not participated in any activity not allowed by wikipedia guidelines. Previous denial of request to unblock fail to mention the reasons clearly. The reason: ‘Intension’ to change your username/ create one should not ideally be a reason to reject unblocking. Many of these previous decisions are based on assumptions including ‘similarities in second names’ and being a co-founder to the organisation which I contributed to, which by the way I requested through AFC not directly moving the page to main space and reported COI (where applicable) at multiple places. Again asking admins to demonstrate how and when I have violated the guidelines ? If not then requesting an unblock. Shraycapital (talk) 10:02, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You forgot to pick a new username. Yamla (talk) 11:50, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I declined your request because you said you were creating a new username. If you wish to do that, nothing needs to be done with this account. If you are not creating a new username, that's fine. 331dot (talk) 09:51, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 331dot,
I came across this User page because I was checking out the expiring drafts they have written. I saw in their first unblock request, you said you they didn't need to change their username but this latest unblock request was denied because they didn't propose a new username.
Can you tell me whether or not the username change is mandatory or can they be unblocked now that they have disclosed their COI? Liz Read! Talk! 03:19, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Liz The user says above that their username is their name plus the word "capital" which refers to Delhi being the capital of India- so their username is okay. This is only a soft block so I would say the block could be lifted. 331dot (talk) 05:00, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
