Can you help out modify the logo of BCL by removing the white background? http://bcl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panginot_na_Pahina There was an issue where one editor created a logo too large and it didn't appear good on the website. It was changed but the white background and its proportion to the English Wikipedia logo is different. Thanks. --Exec8 (talk) 15:56, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update image for homograph attack[edit]

Can you update your image on the IDN homograph attack article to include the traditional asccii only rendering below the IDN version? And/or super impost the asscii version? It would be much more useul for users to have something to compare it to. DouglasCalvert (talk) 04:39, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion contested: L S Raheja School of Architecture[edit]

Hello TheChampionMan1234, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of L S Raheja School of Architecture, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Deletion sorting[edit]

Hello, TheChampionMan1234. I see that you suggested at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/IDevice that the discussion is listed at "list of Apple Inc.-related deletion discussions" and " list of Hardware-related deletion discussions". As may have noticed, however, those links appear as red, since are no such pages currently on Wikipedia. There are deletion sorting pages at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Technology for the discussion of technology-related deletions and Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Business for business-related ones. Another user, Gene93k, has added the discussion to those lists. A list of deletion project sub-pages is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Compact. Aas Mohammad ‎[edit]

Hi TheChampionMan1234 just a heads up that I removed your prof template from this article which is the 3rd recreation of an article previously speedily deleted, and nominated it for speedy deletion. Best wishes Flat Out let's discuss it 13:04, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there CHAMPION, AL from Portugal "here",

very aggressive indeed the template, accusing me of vandalism (even though i know your intentions are/were the best). And i even wrote a summary to avoid any misunderstandings, did me no good.

We at the football community have these guidelines, that say that players, in order to be "famous" at a club, need a number of league games and/or have to be internationals for a given country. The guys i removed meet none of the parameters OK?

Hopefully the misunderstanding has been solved, "whistle" if you have any more questions/doubts. Happy editing and all --AL (talk) 04:33, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the message. Yes i am sure i am of good faith, anon IP or this account, am not sure i understand the (purpose of the) question. I sometimes edit with this address (i am static, so i'm easily "caught" in case of wrongdoings) because when i log off i sometimes keep the ideas flowing, then edit anon lest i forget what i was trying to write. --AL (talk) 04:35, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No additional thoughts, especially after calling me a vandal (please keep in mind the template said "If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia,", not "Your edits may constitute vandalism")? OK, i think i was polite and explained myself... --AL (talk) 04:43, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, looked more carefully into what constitutes blanking, did i blank the famous players section of CD Numancia B? Or did i leave one player, removing those who did not meet any criteria? Don't answer back if you don't feel like it, don't want to force you to do anything you do not wish. --AL (talk) 16:10, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Revert at CD Numancia B[edit]

Those players were removed due to them not meeting the criteria for inclusion, which was explained in Always Learning's edit summary. Although I think it would probably be best for this to be set out in the article itself, for clarity. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:30, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account. After a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, contact me and I will remove it. Good luck and thanks. RFD Nominations do not impress[edit]

Hi, Champion

The most important thing in nominating something for deletion is to impress your audience with an impressive nomination text that is short, smart and convincing. "Per below" is none of these. If I were you, I'd spent some time working on it. It can improve your chances a lot.

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 11:28, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

relavant[edit]

You should really learn how to spell "relevant". :)

Thanks for all your contributions at RfD: at least one other editor is glad of them. So this, really, is just by way of thanks. We shan't always agree but your wise and thoughtful contributions are noticed by at least one other editor.

Have a pint on me when you get the chance. Si Trew (talk) 09:23, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects for deletion[edit]

It's worth spending some time reading Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion in particular Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion#When should we delete a redirect?. The lead of that section concludes with the sentence "Therefore consider the deletion only of either really harmful redirects or of very recent ones." This is a good rule to bear in mind.

All the best: Rich Farmbrough00:55, 31 May 2014 (UTC).

Hi, I remind you of the above. Discussing RfD's for harmless redirects wastes volunteer time, including yours. All the best: Rich Farmbrough12:49, 11 June 2014 (UTC).
But I understand that redirects in languages not relevant to the target should be deleted, and you're like the only one voting Keep when I nominate one, no offence meant here, but I hope you understand the policy. TheChampionMan1234 01:59, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
PS. see Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2014_May_12#Seupein, such foreign redirects are considered harmful to some extent. Thanks. TheChampionMan1234 02:12, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. However it is not policy that these redirects be deleted, which is why I am !voting keep.

Let's look at Scott's claims of harm:

  • its continued existence encourages the creation of yet more similarly mangled redirects

No evidence for this.

  • cluttering search results

How does this follow? Which search results? We can mark the redirect "Unprintworthy".

  • creating maintenance cost.

I have explicitly demonstrated that most of these redirects have never needed human editing - they have zero maintenance cost over 9 years! Until they are nominated for deletion, then they absorb our valuable time.

Again, it's the nature of the beast that people who worry about redirects end up at RfD, but really 99.99% of redirects are best left alone, and most of the rest should be re-targeted. Even those that should be deleted mostly fall under WP:CSD - and the benefit of deleting them is generally minuscule. In my opinion improving one sentence in a reasonably popular article is worth 50 RfDs.

All the best: Rich Farmbrough02:32, 12 June 2014 (UTC).

Interestingly, if it has been asked that who is willing to participate on the deletion of redirect, you wouldn't see even a few people having their hands up. Redirects are generally assumed to be "non-controversial", you may be wasting your time if you want to nominate them for deletion and with these redirects you surely will. Proposed deletion of Tiger Airways Flight 536[edit]

The article Tiger Airways Flight 536 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTNEWS. Entirely non-noteworthy incident. Do not hold the front page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
