Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Pakistan One Day International cricket records, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page University Oval (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Most runs in New Zealand vs Pakistan ODI Series 2018. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – New Zealand vs Pakistan ODI Series 2018.. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at New Zealand vs Pakistan ODI Series 2018.. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:34, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cricket stats[edit]

Hi. Thanks for adding info to various cricket articles. However, please avoid using pages like this as a source, as the page is not static. Please use a match report, where possible. Basically, the pages on Cricinfo with the word "stats" in the URL are not used, as you can't verfiy the fact at a point in the future. For example, if you come back to that page one year from now, how would you tie that page back to the fact you've added, as it will have changed? Also, only the most important "facts" are worth noting, otherwise it becomes WP:TRIVIA. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 20:35, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cricketer infobox teams[edit]

Hello. We would generally only include FC/LA and full T20 teams in a cricket infobox - not OAP teams etc... Sometimes you might include another team if someone played for them for a long time etc... but that's unusual. There are many modern cricketers who play for a huge number of sides - such as Dwayne Smith for example. In those cases a note is sometimes added to the top of the list of teams - you might want to read it. Blue Square Thing (talk) 09:54, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2011 Indian Premier League into 2022 Indian Premier League. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 13:05, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Image change on FAs[edit]

Hi! A) The image you put on Kangana Ranaut does not have copyright information. B) Any change must be discussed, especially in FAs. Please do not re-insert the image unless previously discussed and provided with proper copyright information. ShahidTalk2me 12:21, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kangana Ranuat at Tejas movie Wrap Up Party in 2021.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.instagram.com/p/CWLmzZmsVU0/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=5482d75f-1303-468a-b636-1fe531123e50. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Cricket infoboxes[edit]

Hello. Can I ask a favour please? When you add a team - or other information - to a cricket infobox do you think you could add it immediately after the other teams someone has played for rather than right at the bottom? It makes it a lot easier for other editors to make changes and/or add other teams. The same would be true of other parameters being added to the infobox - try and add them in the way that they're already present - it just makes it so much easier when someone else edits the infobox and ensures that we don't end up with duplicated parameters. For example, Joe Denly.

I think the issue is being caused by you using the visual editor. I understand why that might be easier, but it is causing a range of issues when you edit in the infobox. I don't know if you could try using the standard editor for infobox edits or not? It would really help other people when they're coming to the same article. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 13:19, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2023 Legends League Cricket Masters, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Notice

The article 2024 One World One Family Cup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, one-off event. Match carries no status and no lasting impact.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
