July 2012[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to University of Technology and Management, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 06:34, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at University of Technology and Management. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The reverted edit can be found here. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 06:46, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page University of Technology and Management has been reverted.
Your edit here to University of Technology and Management was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://utmindia.blogspot.com/2011/06/doons-upes-sets-up-univ-in-shillong.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 07:00, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:UTM Pioneer Batch.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UTM Pioneer Batch.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 10:24, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:UTM first academic Batch.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UTM first academic Batch.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. File permission problem with File:UTM first academic Batch.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UTM first academic Batch.jpg, which you've attributed to http://www.utm.ac.in/index.php. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 14:16, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a webhost for your advertisement[edit]

Please stop reverting unsourced and improperly sourced and copyright materials into University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia NOT a free web host for a the college to have a high traffic link. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 03:49, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links and non encyclopedic promotional content to Wikipedia, as you did to University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:53, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

June 2013[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm A.amitkumar. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to University of Technology and Management because it did not appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Amit (talk) 04:01, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vikas, I would suggest you keep advertisement kind of language and text out of wikipedia pages. This will not reflect good and patrollers have a high tendency to revert these additions. Even if this is well intended to add more details about colleges this might end up as vandalism. Amit (talk) 04:06, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo Of University Of Technology & Management.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Logo Of University Of Technology & Management.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:23, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
