WLHG-CD (Digital channels 43.1 & 43.2) is an independent television station owned by Liberty University with studios and offices located at the university's campus in Lynchburg, Virginia. WTLU first came on the air in January 1991 as a translator station for the FamilyNet Television Network. On September 1, 1991, the Liberty Channel, then known as W19BC Channel 19, began originating programming and became a 24/7 local LPTV station. The station now brands itself as HopeNow.tv.
Television programming
This station is an independent Christian television station carrying shows hosted by televangelists and prominent evangelists such as: Kay Arthur's Precepts for Life Daily, Joni Eareckson Tada's Joni and Friends, Charles Stanley's In Touch with Charles Stanley.
Some of the programs that air on WLHG-CD are recorded live at Thomas Road Baptist Church, these programs include: Great Truths with Dr. Harold Wilmington, Thomas Road Live with Jonathan Falwell, A Legacy of Faith featuring sermons by the late Jerry Falwell, and Pulpit Classics featuring many world-renowned speakers.
HopeNow.tv airs educational and informational programs intended for children viewers; these programs consist of: Donkey Ollie, Adventures in Odyssey, The Flying House, Superbook, Real Life 101, and many more.
