Karl Mühleck was an Obersturmführer (First Lieutenant), in the Waffen-SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Mühleck was awarded his Knight's Cross, for his actions during the Battle of Kharkov[disambiguation needed] on the 23 July 1943, when his platoon broke up a Russian tank assault, with Mühleck destroying 7 tanks himself.
