Tap Tap Revenge 3 is an installment in the Tap Tap series. It is a game developed and published by Tapulous for iOS. It is the sequel to Tap Tap Revenge 2 and Tap Tap Revenge. Since the release of Tap Tap Revenge 3, it has been one of the most popular applications in the App Store. It was released on October 6, 2009.
Gameplay
The game features a series of notes falling down the screen of the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is similar in gameplay to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and is controlled via touching the notes on the iPhone/iPod Touch's touch screen, or shaking the device left, right, or back when an arrow is displayed.[1] There are four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme. It has Basic songs at the start when you download it. The Basic songs at the start were "Get Crazy", "Tap Tap Domination" and "Louder Than Boom".
Tap Tap Revenge 3 features over 150 free songs by artists including Lady Gaga, Hyper Crush and Morgan Page.
New features
In Tap Tap Revenge 3, a variety of new features were introduced. Tap Tap Revenge 3 was the first game to take advantage of the "In App Purchase" feature available on iOS.
A new basic theme was also introduced. The new theme was made to enhance gameplay, and give a new style of play.
The use of a customizable avatar was also added in Tap Tap Revenge 3. Players can purchase clothing and other gear for their avatar's use, using in game coins which can be collected by playing songs and achieving goals.
Tapulous releases more music every week to the growing library of Tap Tap Revenge 3. A weekly track is always released on Thursday.
The feature of a "Kids mode" was removed in Tap Tap Revenge 3, however it was replaced with an easier "Easy mode". The overall game was also made to incorporate a faster interface.
Tap Tap Revenge 3 also supports playing content from other Tap Tap games including Tap Tap Coldplay and Lady Gaga Revenge.
Tap Tap Revenge 3.1
In the first update of Tap Tap Revenge 3, there were many new updates including online weaponry that can be bought with in game coins, and also many other features for offline and online play.
Tap Tap Revenge 3 also featured over 200 tracks, including hits such as Omen by The Prodigy, Bad Romance and Alejandro by Lady Gaga.
Tap Tap Revenge 3.2
The second major release for Tap Tap Revenge 3 focuses on stability and performance. Major improvements include; weapons throttled in online play, improvements for long "tap and holds", prices on the Tap Tap Store are now shown in the user's local currency, improved scoring accuracy and fairness and download progress bar bug fix. A toggle to remove avatars being displayed during online play was also introduced which removes the lag for older generations of the iPod touch and the iPhone.
Tap Tap Revenge 3.3
Tap Tap Revenge 3.3 includes the option to turn off the startup sound, improved performance during online play, support for linking to more parts of the game with custom URL's and improved support for server-configurable alerts.
Tap Tap Revenge 3.4
The 3.4 release of Tap Tap revenge now includes the short tap holds wherein the taps have a shorter hold, enabling/disabling default theme on all songs and a tapper speed setting from 0.5 to 2.0.
Tap Tap Revenge 3.5
Tap Tap Revenge 3.5 includes iOS 4 support, multitasking, bug fixes and performance improvements. You can also use downloaded songs from other apps in tap tap revenge 3 now.

Tap Tap Revenge 3 was the number 1 application in the App Store within the first 24 hours of its release and stayed there for over 2 weeks.[4]
Once released as a free application in the App Store, it rose to the 2nd most downloaded application in the App Store within 24 hours with 300,000 new members in under 24 hours.[5]
