Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Small Molecule Pathway Database, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cofactors (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

AFC[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you have created a number of articles in the main article namespace with an AFC submission banner. AFC is a process that places article drafts up for review before they are accepted as an article. Would you like your articles to be reviewed through the AFC process, or do you want to leave them in the main article namespace? Best, Mz7 (talk) 23:25, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I apologize as I realize now I was a bit unclear. On Wikipedia, there are several namespaces where pages can be located. This page, your user talk page, is in the cleverly titled "User talk" namespace, as indicated by the "User talk:Anchiguo" (the stuff before the colon). There are many namespaces on Wikipedia, for example: project and administration pages exist in the "Wikipedia" namespace, help pages exist in the "Help" namespace, and all encyclopedia articles exist in the "Main" namespace. Now, there are two avenues for creating articles on Wikipedia:
  • Articles for creation, shortened to AFC, is a process where unregistered and new users can submit their drafts for an editor experienced on Wikipedia to review. This temporarily immunizes your draft from the risk of deletion; however, the article will not be viewable to the public until it is accepted by a reviewer, and the reviewing process can sometimes take several weeks. Drafts submitted through AFC usually exist in the "Wikipedia talk" namespace. I see you've already had some experience using this process.
  • Creating your article directly in the "Main" namespace is also acceptable. However, if the article has issues in areas such as notability, it will be deleted rather than just declined. On the up side, if your article doesn't have any deletable issues, it is publicly viewable right away, without having to wait for a review.
What is confusing is that at the top of some of the articles you have created, you have placed a banner asking for an AFC review. However, you created the pages directly in the "Main" namespace. Since you have created them in the "Main" namespace, I automatically assumed you don't want to use the AFC process, so I have removed the banners asking for an AFC review. If you want the articles to be reviewed by a reviewer instead, just leave a note on my talk page. I hope this helps. Best, Mz7 (talk) 21:47, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

Hello Anchiguo. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "E. Coli Metabolome Database".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/E. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:01, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
