Amazing Earth

Hello! I've created a new article about Amazing Earth, if you have time feel free to edit the article. I think it needs more information. Thanks! ShootsRed05 (talk) 13:44, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

List of programs broadcast by GMA Network all shows

Hi my name is Vanryoko Mr.Hotwiki can we stop editing List of programs broadcast by GMA Network all shows please, because you focus the film movies and american music since your GMA Network program editing is WRONG, like other network like CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and The CW in the United States NOT GMA Network programs in the Philippines so please Hotwiki stop editing please thanks.

Vanryoko 18:50, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

Aside from your bad grammar, are you seriously trolling me right now and asking me to stop editing and contributing those articles. Ah okay. Hilarious. Who are you to say that to me? So No thank you.TheVeryHotWikipedian (talk) 16:58, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

The Hunger Games (film series)

Hi. I would like to clarify a response to your comment on my edit that resized the franchise name portion of the film names. Indeed, on the main X-Men film series page that format is not necessarily used (anymore at least), but that is because the films are now being grouped together in separate trilogies/character series. The page I actually referenced was in fact the List of X-Men films cast members which serves the same purpose as the table on The Hunger Games film series page. I could also direct you to the Terminator (franchise) article which uses the resized franchise name portion of the film names on the main article.

Another separate feature I introduced to The Hunger Games film series article was to separate the franchise name portion and the film subtitle with a <br /> line break tag. This can also be found on the aforementioned articles above. Regards. – Nick Mitchell 98 talk 04:28, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

No we didn't use that format even before the reformat. Also it doesn't make sense that film titles are inconsistent in font size. Its unnecessary, also the article you used as an example has full of issues so its not the perfect role model. So we are going to use the small font size now or just the table? So its just for style after all? So don't do it again.Hotwiki (talk) 06:06, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

What do you mean?

What did you mean by this: [1]? I think it's a nonsense edit summary. Did you imply that I am a fan and therefore I can't edit the template, while you can?
As far as I know they were known as Mel C, Mel B, Victoria etc. while they were in Spice Girls. And the current names of their Wikipedia articles shouldn't matter. (Actually, I think their articles have more or less random names. One is Mel, another is Melanie, one is Beckham, another is B. It just doesn't look good in the infobox. My version was consistent, at least.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 15:07, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Non free images

HI, I saw your problems with Veluz330 on oversized uploads, and I so 100% agree with you. I will add, that we now have automatic daily tagging for oversized images (User:RonBot No.3), so if you miss some of his uploads, my bot won't. It also adds Non-free image to be reduced to the user's talk page for every oversized image. He's not the only uploader of oversized images, the bot is doing around 60-90 every day. Template:Infobox television and noteworthy content

Hi there, please familiarise yourself with Template:Infobox television instructions so that you're not erroneously using parameters like |location= as you did here. The |location= parameter is to be used to indicate a nation, if different from the nation of origin.

And re: edits like this and this, we're not terribly interested in what TV series replaced another TV series. Things get moved around in time slots all the time. We don't endeavor to replace TV Guide. Please familiarise yourself with our Manual of Style for Television so that you have a better understanding of the sort of content we'd like to see in articles.

Note also, please that the "2" switch of the reflist template is a deprecated value. The community prefers that we not force a set column number, rather that we let readers' web browsers decide on presentation. The typical default is 30em which will present as many columns as a reader's web browser thinks is necessary. And really, a mere 10 references doesn't really need to be broken into columns.

Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:57, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, I actually mistook you for a different user with far less experience than you, so my tone above is probably not great for someone of your experience, however, the notes above are sound and consistent with community norms. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:40, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Notice

Your recent editing history at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Millzipede (talk) 20:27, 20 August 2018 (GMT)

You are the one that already reverted three times in less than 24 hours. Also, don't copy and paste the notice I just posted to your talk page like as if "I'm edit warring". May I remind you, I wasn't the only one who reverted your edit. Take your advice about edit warring.Hotwiki (talk) 19:59, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Stop reverting my edits

To Hotwiki, Please stop reverting my edit because you reverted my edits many times so I was so disappointed and I want to add to my list of contributions. I'm not editing disruptively and I am not vandalizing this site. I was really hurt. Next time you revert my edits, I will quit editing and contributing Wikipedia. So please I need to edit anytime I want. Mc Eduard Figueroa (talk) 13:11, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

You have been told many times, not just by me, to not update the episode count so early! It should only be updated when the latest episide started airing or already aired. It's not a contest or a race for you to be updating it so early. How many times should it be mentioned to you? You are obviously stubborn and won't follow a simple instruction. And Wikipedia doesn't care if you want to edit anytime you want. Learn basic rules, you don't own the site. And go ahead quit, your editing skills annoy me anyway. Hotwiki (talk) 13:15, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Short description

Hello, can you please stop adding short description template to every single article? Its rather disruptive to the project. Also, while I am aware of its use, I don't see the point. Correct me if I am wrong, but this template was meant to replace Wikidata? If so, it fails. Wikidata have more info then this useless template have.--Biografer (talk) 04:59, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

@Biografer: First of all you removed the template, without giving an explanation. Second, according to Template:Short description, all articles should have a short description and I'm only implementing that, right? Third, I don't see any harm for putting a short description. So why don't you stop removing them! Thanks. TheHotwiki (talk) 05:18, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

No, let's discuss it first, and then you can add them. How is that sound?--Biografer (talk) 05:21, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

@Biografer: I don't need your permission to use the template, as I don't see whats wrong by using the template to a lot of articles. If this is really bogging you, report it then. Also, read Wikipedia:Short description. TheHotwiki (talk) 05:25, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
That's the thing, I read what its all about, but it still doesn't make sense. It says that this templates' purpose is to bring mobile device users to an immediate attention when it comes to editing an article. I use a mobile device and I don't see it's purpose. Sure, it is far better then Persondata, and no, you don't need my permission, but when someone asks you to discuss something, you should listen. Maybe you can elaborate on the whole thing because I read the description of this short description thing and I am still lost. Also, where should I report and to whom? Many thanks.--Biografer (talk) 05:43, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
You have an issue with the template and the template page/Wikipedia:Short description specifically said that articles should have a short description template in the very first paragraph. It is not my responsibility or duty to explain to further explain it to you. I'm also not gonna stop using the template just because you don't understand the template and because you said so. How about you leave me alone and take your issue elsewhere, like the talk page of the template? Don't remove the template again or I will have to report you.TheHotwiki (talk) 06:19, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
You misunderstood me. According to the Category:Articles with short description, non of them have this template, yet they are connected. My advice was to stop using the template because its already present somehow. This is what I meant by that its a waste of time and disrupts the project. I hope, you understand now what I meant?--Biografer (talk) 15:10, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
It disrupts nothing. How about you just leave it alone? TheHotwiki (talk) 19:26, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
How about you will come to my talkpage and we will discuss it in a civil manner?--Biografer (talk) 01:56, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
I'm done talking to you about this subject. And someone already you to stop removing short descriptions. Get a hint.TheHotwiki (talk) 03:10, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
I think you misunderstand me, and I misunderstand you. I proposed an alternative on my talkpage, yet you continue being stubborn. Why? I do not understand. Maybe you need to change your name to TheCoolWiki and get chilled.;)--Biografer (talk) 04:39, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
Leave me alone. When an editor obviously wants to ignore you, you should probably just stop. Someone already told you about short descriptions, so you can stop now. Again take a hint instead of annoying more editors. Your next edit in my talk page will be reverted.TheHotwiki (talk) 06:33, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Intertitle card changes

Since we can not come to a consensus, could you please take the original files to WP:FFD to see if a consensus can be reached instead of reverting against WP:BRD and stop WP:Edit warring? Aspects (talk) 05:48, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

@Aspects:. How about you start your discussion there first because I don't know how to start one in that page and I'll comment right after along with the links where it shows the actual title cards of those shows you've recently edited.
Also I have just added the source of those title cards in the summary section of their respective file page. Now can you do the same to the files you are trying to keep in those articles? Also I put effort and time, finding those title cards in order to follow MOS:TV regarding the image for the infobox.TheHotwiki (talk) 06:40, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi. I have seen the edit warring in my watchlist. As per the custom wiki style of the Survivor, it is the logo not the title card that is being used in the franchise articles and its seasons. If a logo with a transparent background is not available, a title card may be used as a substitute (see the US version for this case). As for the title card being used in the fourth season, the image was from how the show have shown it during the first episodes. I suppose the image you have uploaded is a screenshot from the finale? Here is the Twitter account of the fourth season showing the title card as its display profile picture: https://twitter.com/survivorphils4/. I suggest @Hotwiki: to refrain changing the images since they were the official ones being used; and also @Aspects: was correct in citing that the images you have replaced are of low quality.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 11:38, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
@Renzoy16: Per MOS:TV "For a show's main article, an intertitle shot of the show (i.e., a screenshot capture of the show's title) or a promotional poster used to represent the show itself should be used." Screenshot capture of the show's title, not logo or promotional banner found in Twitter. So no I disagree. Unless you can provide an actual source that shows a different title card broadcast during the show then go ahead. But logo or a profile pic found in Twitter is against MOS:TV guidelines. And as for low-resolution photos, a lot of files uploaded in Wikipedia are low res. The resolution of the file, is the best version I could find and at least I'm following what is cleary stated in MOS:TV regarding infobox image and not a made up rule. Also Survivor Philippines is first and foremost, an article for a TV series, not a franchise. TheHotwiki (talk) 11:43, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

Since Episode Titles shouldn't be in bold & italic, is there really a need for an English translation for the ones stated in Tagalog? In other episode lists, they didn't even have those translations. Just curious. You wanna ride in the Six. You wanna dine in the Six.

I wasn't the one that added the translations, I only added the translation template because it is required for translations.TheHotwiki (talk) 09:44, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 23

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bihag (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Max Collins (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

About TCF being former distributor.

Hello. I just wanna know from you that Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is currently behind distributing the future Fox films; mainly because ever since of one source that says Twentieth Century Fox's behind international distribution for Terminator: Dark Fate.

This source (https://phys.org/news/2019-04-fox-studio-disney-chapter.html) you put on the X-Men film series page, this proves that Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is the current distributor, correct?

Re: Premature Editing of Episode Count

Good day User:Hotwiki!

I'd like to ask for your help regarding a case of premature editing of episode count for Ang Probinsyano and its related page List of Ang Probinsyano episodes committed by User:Albe23413. I saw how you have warned User:Mc Eduard Figueroa to desist from the same conduct, and have seen that you have had success with it. That's why turned to you for help regarding the same problem. I have put up guidelines in hidde messages in the said pages instructing users to edit the episode count weekly and only after the episode airs. In fact, because User:Albe23413 keeps on disregarding the same, I had to be specific and place there that the episodes should be updated on a Friday, the last day of the week, after the episode has already aired. I had to put up that guideline because User:Albe23413 edits the same as if he is in a race with other editors. As in fact in several instances, he edits the same on a Thursday morning or at worst, a Wednesday afternoon contrary to what was stipulated. I think 3 warnings are enough and he should be sanctioned already.

Warmest regards. Gardo Versace (talk) 05:55, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

@Hotwiki: thanks anyway, I see that you are a true blue Kapuso and I respect that. But can you at least point me to the direction of where I should report said user for the premature edits?

Real Housewives

Hey there, Hotwiki! I don't believe we've ever interacted. I'm KyleJoan. Nice to make your acquaintance! I see that you recently changed the width of a lot of the Real Housewives cast tables. I wanted to ask you if you could refer me to the MOS guideline that specifies how the number of seasons of a show dictates the width of its cast table because I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance! KyleJoantalk 12:35, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

@KyleJoan: It has nothing to do with Mos Guidelines, just like how you decided to keep all housewives tables to be under 70% width size. It just doesn't make sense why a wikitable with TEN or MORE columns should be confined to 70% width size. Then you also have Potomac and Dallas under the same width size when those two only have five columns. Its not breaking the page, for you keep them under 70% width size, especially the ones with over 10 columns. TheHotwiki (talk) 14:24, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
Ah, so there isn't a MOS guideline. I thought I wasn't looking hard enough. Thanks for clarifying! KyleJoantalk 14:36, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
@KyleJoan: I never stated about Mos guidelines to begin with. Why were you keeping them all under 70% anyway, especially you edited it to your preference without zero explanation. The table for Orange County has fifteen columns, fyi, and the spaces between those 15 columns aren't even wide for you to keep it under 70%. It doesn't make any sense.TheHotwiki (talk) 15:44, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
@Hotwiki: Thank you for widening the tables! They look so much better spanned across the page and aligned with the text. Big improvement!!! AnAudLife (talk) 03:46, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
I completely agree. Thanks for saying what was on my mind, AnAudLife! KyleJoantalk 04:15, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
@KyleJoan: Then why on earth have you repeatedly reverted other users edits of widening the table by reducing the size of the tables for months, as in many, many months? AnAudLife (talk) 04:24, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
@AnAudLife: . . . many, many months? I admire how much you have paid attention to my editing habits. I wish I was that meticulous. Can you show me how many times I've reverted the table width as well as the timespan during which those reverts happened? Also, I changed my mind. Table width is never mentioned on any MOS guideline, so whatever it is on any given page, I can't challenge. Perhaps you would like some recommendations on some guidelines to read? KyleJoantalk 04:30, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
@KyleJoan: I don't care enough to research and find them, you know exactly what you've done. But your overbearing edits and reverts on the RHONY page is hard to miss, I'm not the only one who notices. No matter what contribution is made or by who, you ALWAYS have to change it, even if it's just adding one word or taking one away. It's problematic. AnAudLife (talk) 04:37, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
@AnAudLife: If I'm so problematic, then I implore you to report me. Thanks! KyleJoantalk 04:39, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

That's Entertainment members

Hi Hotwiki,

I have been notified several times about my edits reverted by you, whenever I update the list of That's Entertainment members. Either you cite them as unreferenced or you found the sources not credible. As you may not know, I am currently researching the names of those who become part of the show and which group do they belong to using their Facebook and Instagram accounts. Remember they hold annual reunions ever since. I suggest that you better fix or clean up the list already, if you do not agree on my explanation. Thank you! Hello, I've been noticing you're updating episode counts prior to episodes airing, and per Infobox television it should not be done until the episode airs, per this statement: This parameter should only be incremented when new episodes air. Hello good day! Asking for your kindness and patience before you remove/archive this. Just came here to your talk page because I would like to ask if where did you get the logo of Frontpage: Ulat ni Mel Tiangco? That is because it came from a certain link on YT (pasted there below) where the logo seems to be fanmade. I tried to search some archives of the show on YT to saw that the logo used in the broadcast is different from the one used there. Though I recognize that the file has a much clearer file name than the one that was no longer posted there, just wanting to make sure that it is accurate. Thanks.

Although I was able to check the detail of the image and entered the image's source but it led me to nowhere in the GMA's official website.

Bullying over That's Entertainment

Hi Hotwiki,

Wow. You said "No, thank you". Why can't you fix the mess that you have done to That's Entertainment? You are responsible for the actions that you committed. I am still fixing. You become too impatient and demanding. You resist to edit the article. Worse, you are trying to bully me at all. Raymarcbadz (talk) 11:15, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Its not bullying. You are hiding the cast section for absolutely no reason. Didn't you already added references? But now you want to hide the cast section. Yeah just no.
Excuse me, you addressed me with negative remarks whenever I edit the That's Entertainment article. I told you multiple times that I already added the references. Honestly, you become so IMPATIENT at all. Adding references to each cast member take ample time, especially when I search for the exact reference online. This is not an easy task to accomplish, so please learn to be patient and view the article carefully next time. Thank you. Raymarcbadz (talk) 11:48, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
You've been editing the article for MONTHS. Also, you should learn to add a reference everytime you add an information especially if you were already questioned by other editors. Feel free to add more cast members as you long as you have a reliable source that you can also post in the article. TheHotwiki (talk) 12:03, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

EdJohnston (talk) 20:38, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

@EdJohnston:, yeah it was. But before this, I also asked the reported editor many times to refrain from posting original research and adding references. So could anyone at least warn him about those thingz. In my opinion, he got away so many times in that article as no one was monitoring the article and I don't think he fully understand what original research is.TheHotwiki (talk) 20:50, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

RHOBH

Hey, I'm relatively new to wikipedia so I may be entirely in the wrong here. But, both Denise and Rinna (if I recall) had a title banner. Like "Ben, hair stylist" stuff like that. So, they were billed. Melissa and Kathy were in the background and had no title card and were not credited but are considered guests in season 2. I'm really not trying to be a pain at the end of the day it's just a cast table for a wikipedia page but I just want the insight on why it's different for BH. Quinnfabraystan (talk) 19:20, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

They weren't guests, because guests get paid and sometimes they are given confessionals by the producers. Denise and Lisa were just caught on the camera. As for Rhonj, you can remove the "guest appearances" of those 2 women you just mentioned.TheHotwiki (talk) 06:28, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Re: List of X-Men: OK, not going to get into a revert war and plus for acknowledging that Wolverine did join the team in GS X-Men #1. I would say that as a character from an alternate reality Old Man Logan is not the same character as the Earth 616 Logan, he definitely OML definitely did not join in the 1970s and he is listed below in the 2010 recruits section. (Though the 2010s recruits mentions his membership of the 2017 Astonishing team not the 2015 Extraordinary team, so that might want fixing)Nickpheas (talk) 09:49, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

Do you have a reference for that? TheHotwiki (talk) 10:32, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

May I ask if you can add the science fiction genre in this series since the trailer will have a space battle? Thanks. It can’t be just action and drama there’s a space battle if you’ve seen the trailer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.106.226.215 (talk) 14:10, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

Why did you delete my messages?

You are NOT ANSWERED my question yet. Sorry to say this, but you seem like a kind of a douchebag and a selfish person to me when you did that. Prove me if I'm wrong and we can settle it. GR152 ––Proud Filipino (talk) 09:22, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Heartful Cafe

Please put back Heartful Cafe back on the future programming section of GTV since it will release on April 26, 2021. Thank you.

You can do that yourself. You don't need my permission for you to edit articles. Happy editing!TheHotwiki (talk) 11:58, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

He who uploads duplicate files

Apologies for the summaries I have written. But let us get straight to the point!

My original upload log of Dobol B TV title card PNG version is on 0610H UTC 22 Feb 2021. Upload log is here --> 6 and as the file first appeared on Dobol B TV's history here --> 7

Yours with JPG version was uploaded on 0937H UTC 26 Feb 2021. Upload log is here --> 8 and as the file first appeared on Dobol B TV's history here --> 9

It ain't rocket science to know which among the dates February 22 and February 26 comes first as a little hover over the two blue links will tell the answer. Thanks. Phsealgov (talk) 18:20, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

@Phsealgov: You don't own the files, its a screenshot from a GMA Network show and so what if I uploaded a better version? There's no rule in Wikipedia who gets to upload the files. Revert one more and you'll be reported. You are edit warring just because the file you uploaded was replaced.TheHotwiki (talk) 18:28, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
"You are edit warring just because the file you uploaded was replaced." You said it yourself. The uploaded file on the February 22 --->10 was replaced because there came a duplicate on February 26 --->11. Thanks for answering that. :) Phsealgov (talk) 18:34, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
@Phsealgov: The file you uploaded back in February was already deleted and replaced. Can't accept the file that you uploaded was replaced by another editor, so you just uploaded it again? It has been replaced. Move on. Same thing with Farm to Table title card, the file you uploaded is lower quality/blurry and I replaced it with a better version. Simple as that.TheHotwiki (talk) 18:38, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Nah, I am just refuting your claim that it is me who uploads duplicate files as far as the Dobol B TV title card is concerned.
I am guessing you will not give an answer to your supposed uploading of duplicate files eh? As evidenced by the upload logs of my PNG version on February 22 here -- 12 and your JPG version on February 26 here --->13 Thanks. Phsealgov (talk) 18:45, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
@Phsealgov: I screenshot the Doble B TV title card straight from YouTube, just like with Farm to Table title card. I didn't grab it in Wikipedia and just reuploaded it. Move on as clearly you can't accept the files you uploaded were replaced. Guess what this is Wikipedia. Don't make me report this to the admins and escalate the situation just for a simple upload file. TheHotwiki (talk) 18:48, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
@Phsealgov: And if you didn't notice the resolution of the file uploaded for Dobol B TV is 368 × 200. Yours is 274 × 155 with a file size of 29KB. The one I uploaded has a bigger frame size with a smaller file size (6KB). There's a difference. So your accusation of me stealing your files (which you don't even own since you don't own the copyright of that screenshot) is completely wrong. TheHotwiki (talk) 19:02, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
I think you are not reading enough to notice the very first word of this section. :)
Victory as it is, eh? At least we already know who uploads duplicate files and the upload logs will rightfully answer so. And at least again, it has been cleared that February 22 14 comes first before February 26 15. Gregorian calendar still has its own fine tuning, isn't it? It is you who needs to move on, I guess, as these logs 16 17 will be here forever. Think about that. Bye Phsealgov (talk) 19:16, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
You have no proof that I uploaded a duplicate file. They only share the same file name, not frame size and file size. TheHotwiki (talk) 19:19, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Uh-oh. These logs 18 19 in uploads say otherwise. Who are we going to believe now? You or Wikipedia logs? :) Phsealgov (talk) 19:26, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
