(talk page watcher) @Omingokevin: The item Draft:Reer Yusuf was declined at review, since when nothing has been done to the to make it suitable for Wikipedia. The reviewer gave the main reason as lack of decent referencing / sourcing but there are also a number of grammatical, formatting and layout anomalies which make it not usable, as it stands, as a Wikipedia item. Some of these are of not very much import and can be dealt with as and when. However, the referencing needs to be addressed before the item can be accepted into the encyclopedia. Readability issues should be looked at as well. It might be an idea for you to review the guide to article creation and also to referencing as suggested by the reviewer. Hi, Oshwah. I disagree with your removing references to media that has covered topics on Wikipedia. It is not for advertising/promotion. It is so users can go to sources outside of Wikipedia to learn more on the topic. I found an example of where this was allowed: on the Hadden Clark page, I found: Two-part series on The Last Podcast on the Left episodes "Hadden Clark Part I- Mommy's Basement Bakery" and "Hadden Clark Part II- Women's Panties", aired: November 2019.

How is this different? If I remove the link, will that meet the requirements?

   In his inaugural speech on January 20th, 2021, President Biden (6:38 of the speech) is quoted to say, " Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal that we're all are created equal and the harsh ugly reality that racism, nativism, fear demonization have long torn us apart." The term 'we're all created equal' is part of the sentence in the U.S. Declaration of Independence, which Thomas Jefferson penned in 1776 during the beginning of the American Revolution that reads, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". Mr. Bidens statement is part of the entire sentence. President Biden also says (12:19 of the speech), " recent weeks and months have taught us a painful lesson there is truth and there are lies, lies told for power and for profit", and makes no mention of half-truths, that include truths that lie because they are part-of-the-truth.

Hi there! YouTube is not recommended as a source, as they're often unreliable and considered most times to be primary. A secondary source that's considered reliable would be better to cite. Why are you adding this content to the Half-truth article in the first place? Rajendra Kumar's Wikipedia editing

Hello I am editing the Wikipedia page of legendary Actor Rajendra Kumar and you are again and again changing back the things to the former . Understand please, he was a legendary artist and despite this fact, his Wikipedia page is not well developed like those of Rajesh khanna or Raj kapoor . The information I am adding is from his own biography "The Jubilee Kumar " You can verify. The things I am editing are just improving his Wikipedia page He is my most favourite and admired personality and I can't afford to see his Wikipedia page with limited info. It should be developed. Yes, I did edit JPEGMAFIA’s page about him rereleasing “The Ghost Pop Tape”. There is proof I can cite but it is only a YouTube video, which is blacklisted on Wikipedia. The entry QX39 is incorrect and needs to be changed to avoid future confusion. These compounds were generated in our laboratory and patents and publications used in the entry are from our group. The entry needs to be changed to CA77.1 that is the correct name of the compound used in the studies with Alzheimer's that you reference in the page. We never used QX39 for in vivo studies in Alzheimer and the structure and other inforamtion entered there was incorrect. The compounds were described as QX in early days in the patent but have been published as CA and by using the old nomenclature that was not used in the publication we are worried this will create confusion. The mechanism of action was incorrect as neither QX39 nor CA77.1 target LAMP2A as indicate in the text. I have corrected the text for accuracy and include the very original reference of the parent compounds so readers interested can track the molecules. The main difference between the early series of compounds (AR7) and these ones is that we used extensive med chem to made them suitable for in vivo use and that lead to the Alzheimer's studies that are referred in the page. It can be seen as disruptive when you remove content from articles without explaining why using the edit summary. Omingokevin - I don't know what the exact timeline is right now, but in the past, the backlog has resulted in reviews taking anywhere from a week to a few months to get done. OK, we still seem to have the userspace version and the draft version; one needs to go. The userspace is in better condition than the draft but it is the wrong location. The content at the userspace could be amalgamated into the draft and the userpage used for its intended purpose of telling the Wikipedia community a little about the user and how they intend to contribute to the encyclopedia. The draft had (still has) a number of anomalies as does the userpage and the combined item should be edited in line with the article creation guidelines and the manual of style as well as carefully studying the notability requirements. Account 3000 - You're not actually doing the right thing, you know... You can't just keep creating new accounts like this and expect that you won't be blocked. Do you want to be able to come back to Wikipedia and contribute positively to the encyclopedia? You need to log into your original account, Jack90s15, after you've gone six months without violating any policies (so no creating sock puppets), and appeal your block. This is how you do the right thing, not what you're doing now, which is to create multiple accounts in order to skirt the radar. For some reason, the sockpuppet template shows that a sockpuppet category still needs to be created even though one exists. Spi abuse and retaliation against me

About an investigation

There is some kind of confusing going on.

I'm not Dibosh Chakma. Actually he (Dibosh) was the previous owner of the mobile that I am using right now. I bought the mobile from Dibosh couple of weeks ago. Therefore my cousin taught me how to edit in Wikipedia. That's why, though I am new but I know the basics of editting in Wikipedia.

I believe I only made one or two changes to that page. The only one I actually remember making is to change "behind" to "the cause of" which in my opinion has the same meaning but is much better, more precise English. At any rate, saying an organization was "behind" something is vague, figurative and is basically slang; some more definite phrase should be substituted. Hijacking the section to ask for advice. I left an editor a message about an unhelpful edit of theirs ([6]) on their talk page. This is how they responded. Now I left them a very stern statement on their talk page about that, since, reading just diagonally through it I can see a couple of nasty insinuations... Don't think it's prima vista blockable (although I've been previously harassed so it's not very far from it), but if you or any talk page watcher has further advice on how to handle this kind of shenanigans or is willing to take a watchful look over the relevant article that would be nice. Hi RandomCanadian! Aside from the accusations and finger-pointing, that user's response went off on unrelated tangents and made absolutely no sense at all to me. Honestly, my advice would be to just ignore it and move on. I wouldn't have even left the user that warning you left for their response on your user talk page. Warning a user for something they did on your own talk page is equivalent to yelling "stop poking me!" It rarely works, and just signals to the user that you're taking their response personally and that you don't like it - something that trolls thrive on and gobble as their food. ;-) You warned the user for their edit to the article - that's all you need to do. Just ignore their rant, move on, and keep an eye out for any more issues by that user with further edits to articles. Treat them like you would any other editor and disregard the fact that they went off on you like that. No need to make things more complicated. ;-) If the user does start to harass and hound you repeatedly, please let me know. CU and SPI questions

Hi Oshwah! I am not challenging your decisions, I am asking because I feel my understanding of CU policy (and where to look at policy) is lacking to the point that when I file a SPI I feel it is a crapshoot whether to request CU or not in some cases.

In Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Comedian Warmatep you stated that DUCK evidence doesn't require CU to confirm (I was asking for CU not just to confirm, but to uncover other instances, but lets leave it at confirming). User:AmandaNP declined similarly for Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lass-Lass.

What is unclear to me, is how this is based on the CheckUser policy. Wikipedia:CheckUser#Grounds for checking states that sock pupperty is grounds for checking. I don't see how the "duck" case falls under WP:CUPRIVACY. I also don't see anything on meta.

However, the "duck" case clearly falls under procedure given that both you and AmandaNP declined for exactly the same reason. My question is, where can I read about this procedure? Or read about guidance about when to ask for CU and when not? I am asking so that I fill out the CU requested field in my SPI reports in a better fashion.

Another question, arising from Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lass-Lass, I avoided placing user warnings (aside from automatic speedy-deletion notices from Twinkle I didn't prevent) on the talk page of Homesand (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), and did not report Homesand to AIV (which I probably could've given the amount of disruptive edits I reverted) as they were an obvious DUCK and I had already reported them to SPI. However, SPI seems very slow these days, like this case was declined by CU on DUCK (but the account wasn't blocked...) the same day, the account was blocked 26 hours later (because someone else reported them to AIV), and the SPI was closed 8 days later with "Nothing left to do here, closing" by User:RoySmith. In the meantime, another DUCK appeared and was reported by someone else at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Homesand. Now, my question from all this is whether I should report such a user to SPI at all? I could easily foresee that I would have enough activity for a vandalism-only/NOTHERE block at AIV in short order, and that noticeboard is handled more briskly. In short, the answer is "yes" - you should definitely file SPI reports when you believe that sock puppetry is occurring. Even if a CU declines running a check on the particular report you file, it's still looked into by clerks and administrators, who run a behavioral investigation on the accounts and decide on action from there. If you could take away only one thing from this response, remember this: CU data does not preclude a behavioral analysis and obvious sock puppetry. If CU data came back and determined that two accounts were in completely different areas around the world, and if a behavioral investigation concludes that the two users are obvious sock puppets based on their edits and behavior, the behavioral investigation takes complete precedence and the accounts would be blocked. :-)
I used to run checks on accounts that were exhibiting DUCK behavior, but I was told by AmandaNP that these checks are unnecessary due to the nature of the evidence being obvious. From then on, I declined these requests as this is what she told me should be done. I'll let Amanda comment further on this response with her reasoning and rationale. I don't mind at all running checks for DUCK evidence and findings - especially if the request states that a sleeper check is needed. If I declined a request when you had asked for a sleeper check, please accept my apologies in advance and just make sure that you state this clearly in future SPI reports when you request a checkuser. This way, I'll be sure to be aware that your request entails a sleeper check, and I'll be happy to look into it with that mindset.
If you have any further questions regarding SPI reports, CU checks, and the line between where they'll be accepted or declined, please let me know and I'll be happy to try and explain things further. The last thing I want you to be is confused over how we handle SPI cases, and I'm sure that they haven't been handled consistently from checkuser to checkuser. Just remember not to take it personally or take it as something you've done wrong simply because a CU or clerk declined your request for a CU at SPI. If anything, you'll get the hang of it and you'll learn the threshold as you file more cases. :-) Have you reviewed Wikipedia's duck test and signs of sockpuppetry pages? They do well to explain DUCK behavior and where there are signs of sockpuppetry that may not be obvious. I am preparing an athlete's Wikipedia page and I am sure that this athlete meets the notability criteria, but some users have reasons that are not correct.

I'm more than happy to help you. :-) There might not be specific guidelines on the notability of sambo competitors, but there are guidelines for the general notability of athletes that you can read here. It's an extension of Wikipedia's general notability guidelines and the basic criteria for the notability of people. There's an AFD dicussion that's open where users have added rationale and input that cites these specific guidelines. I'd give these guidelines a read, then go through the AFD discussion to see what they're referencing. Recurring transphobic vandalism from static IP

I see that you warned 47.187.133.104 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) for his latest vandalism. The edits he's making are the exact same as the sort he got blocked for last week under multiple IPs and probably as TheFreeGene (talk · contribs) (SPI).
