Mistake

In the clan hierarchy section, it says: "..... A new leader can only receive his or her nine lives once the previous leader has lost all nine lives, or retires, in which case, StarClan will take lives away from previous leader until he or she only has one life." However, in the case of Sunstar (Bluestar's Prophecy), he only received 8 extra lives because the previous leader, Pinestar, became a kittypet when he still had one life left. This should be corrected or deleted. Paleo Kid (talk) 18:31, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I wrote that but forgot to mention what happens if the previous leader doesn't retire/die. I will fix it. Brambleclawx 15:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. :) Paleo Kid (talk) 19:03, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Paleo Kid, this is my second time replying so forgive format. You see, this is still outdated. In the newest series, A Starless Clan, the code is revised, allowing leaders that cannot lead or are incompetent, they can give up leadership so long as Starclan says it is okay. I just thought I would tell you so no one can be confused when reading this.
Merry Christmas!

Warriors App

I got an email from Harper Collins letting me know that a Warriors app for Iphone, Ipad, and Ipod Touch has been released. I don't know if this is something that should be in the article, but I thought I should let people know. If you think it would fit in the article feel free to add it.--Nyswimmer (talk) 14:48, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hm... looks legit. Problem is going to be sourcing it. I will do my best... maybe Thursday? Brambleclawx 15:32, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chlidren's fiction

The articles on all of the books in this series need to mention that they are children's fiction in their leads and infoboxes. Very few of them do. The fact that they are about semi-anthropomorphized animals isn't necessarily indicative of this fact at all. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 11:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yellowfang's Super Edition

It says in the Super Editions section that the fifth super edition will feature Yellowfang, but there is no evidence to support this claim. Should we delete it until there is more evidence, or would a citation needed tag be better? Brambleberry, RiverClan Medicine Cat VisitFollow 23:17, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The only source is Victoria Holmes' Facebook page (not considered a reliable source). Personally, I don't care, but if anyone objects to it, it can be taken down. Brambleclawx 17:39, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I'm new, and I just want to say that there is going to be one on Yellowfang. It's going to be called Yellowfang's Secret.- Ripfang666 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ripfang666 (talkcontribs) 18:37, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dawn of the Clans

Various IPs (and users) have been changing back and forth in the Dawn of the Clans section whether that series will: a) continue the storyline of Omen of the Stars, or b) go back to the early days of the clans. My understanding is that the authors said that it would be b), but I don't want to get in an edit war over this. I'd like to establish consensus on what the new series will be about, so that we can keep the correct version in the article. David1217 (talk) 01:17, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the only source was on Kate Cary's blog (the post was subsequently removed, however, but I believe I had a reference to her blog with a quote. So either go with b, find a source for a, or the best idea would be to leave out the section until a real source appears. Brambleclawx 04:06, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blackcough

Okay, so in the Clan terminology section sometimes people try to add "blackcough" as a deadly chest infection, and it always gets reverted. Blackcough is just greencough left untreated, but the cats refer to it as blackcough, so is it separate enough from greencough? Brambleberry of RiverClanmeow 20:32, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No Clan section describing the clans

Seriously this section does not exist and it is probably the biggest part of the books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackstar167 (talkcontribs) 22:39, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

While it seems that at times the general personality of a Clan is a certain way, e.g. ThunderClan being brave and loyal, ShadowClan being sneaky and vile, every cat is an individual. Tigerstar was a ThunderClan cat at one time, and he certainly wasn't loyal to his leader. Tawnypelt is a ShadowClan warrior who is rather sweet. Not to mention, Blackstar is trying to right the Clan and give them a positive image. The most information that we could put in describing the Clans individually would be what type of land they enjoy (ThunderClan deciduous forests, ShadowClan coniferous forests, WindClan moor, and RiverClan marsh), which would fall under "Setting and characters". That section also includes what all Clans have in common. öBrambleberry_ meow _ watch me in action 22:45, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, we're trying too avoid too much in universe stuff. There's already a section describing how Clans function, and as Brambleberry says, there really is no difference between the Clans besides where they live and minor adaptations to this; for example, we can't say ShadowClan is the evil Clan, because the whole series is written ThunderClan's perspective, so of course ThunderClan will seem to be the best. Brambleclawx 04:04, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bramblestar's Storm

The Warriors Wiki has confirmed that the title of the seventh Super Edition is going to be Bramblestar's Storm, but the only two links are Victoria Holmes' Facebook page. Would that be reliable enough for time being until there is more confirmation? öBrambleberry of RiverClan 14:59, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Omnibus Field Guide?

I think it would be great if the omnibus field guide could be merged with Field Guides even though it's made of two field guides. It would make the article more short and simple. 50.43.166.233 (talk) 14:57, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Warriors Lover/Anonymous[reply]

Tigerclaw's Fury is not a super edition; this has been fixed. Bramblestar's Storm doesn't currently have any reliable source, so it is not yet included due to the lack of a source. Brambleclawx 16:50, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is a mess

Hey there, I'm a big fan of the series but in all truth this article is a mess. There's random talk about specific characters everywhere without links, grammatical errors and weird flow. It needs a huge cleanup. We can do it, though! EDIT: I rewrote 'clan terminology' to shorten it. Remember that we only need very broad terms in that, terms such as insults and 'blackcough' aren't neccesary. Arcticavian (talk) 22:05, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good article

I temporarily removed good article from the page because it currently has lots of issues, a good article can't have issues. Also, there is a chunk of unreferenced stuff.117.232.108.17 (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I havw added a Good article reassesment request for this article, there are 2 sections which doesn't have even a single reference. Hopefully the problems can be fixed. King Prithviraj II (talk) 14:10, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Responding to the request. The article is massive and lacking in many references. I feel it is a long way from GA status. Will ping @Derild4921: the editor that brought it to Good Article status first before opening a formal assessment. AIRcorn (talk) 04:46, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Descriptions/Synopsis needs to be shortened

The biggest issue plaguing this page right now is that entire books are being explained in great detail in their sections on this page. I'm not sure how to shorten them all effectively but i'm pretty sure we shouldn't have entire, spoilerific entries on here. If anyone with a little more knowledge on what's an appropriate amount of info for a Wikipedia article would like to make these changes, please do! I have already shortened a few sections for some of the mini-stories as I can only assume what was there before was essentially the whole book (since they were short books anyway). This article looks good at a glance but is actually a mess of TOO MUCH INFORMATION! DrAaronStein (talk) 16:54, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Warriors" or "Warrior Cats"?

I see the same series of books, in English, with both the "Warriors" and the "Warrior Cats" series title. (Do a Google image search for "Forest of Secrets" to see what I mean.) Is this an old vs new series name, or maybe British vs American? The Wikipedia article doesn't mention "Warrior Cats" at all, but the official website is listed as warriorcats.com. I would love to see this clarified in the Wikipedia article. --Peter (talk) 20:12, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, "Warrior Cats" is the original, U.K. title and "Warriors" is the U.S. title. Oornery (talk) 01:32, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
From my understanding having read the books since around 2006, I think that the term "Warrior Cats" has mainly been used to distinguish the series from other properties such as The Warriors (1979) film or book and various sports teams that use the name "Warriors". The only books I've seen listed as "Warrior Cats" were translations and the only ones showing the text untranslated were the German versions for some reason. New Timeline Visuals

As some of you may remember, there used to be some visuals on this page that were essentially a timeline of Warriors books. However, they only went up to Darkest Night from series 6 if I remember correctly, and I notice that they have recently been removed. I organized each Warriors book into chronological order, with the intent of making a new timeline. Here is the books in order, if someone wants to make a timeline for them. I added each small novella as its own separate part on the list, rather than list the bind-up it came in separately. I also listed some books/stories that have yet to come out (eg The Place of No Stars, Blackfoot's Reckoning, etc).

Blubewwy (talk) 16:06, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If we do a visual Blubewwy, the books with no set dates should maybe have their own section? They encompass a wide range of times, and are not really a story, but more of a guide or a handbook. Also, thank you for putting the unpublished books on the list, that way we wont be behind for a bit. lighstreame (talk) 03:41, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi everyone. So, there were a couple issues, from my perspective, with the timeline graphics. The first is that they were not well-made, with a lot of overlapping components, and overall, were fairly difficult to read. The second is that, supposing a cleaner graphic could be made, I'm not sure that having a timeline is going to add very much to a general reader of the topic. My perspective is that we are aiming to be comprehensive, yes, but also not to be overinclusive of detail. Certainly, having that kind of detail might be nice for readers who are familiar with the topic, but the question would be whether that level of detail is more appropriate for somewhere where the scope is more focused simply on Warriors (for example, the Warriors Wiki).
In any case, if someone does want to try to attempt making a timeline, I would personally suggest trying to figure out and use Template:Include timeline, which will create a Wikicode timeline that would probably be easier to edit as new books are published (instead of having to track down whoever made the original timeline image and get them to edit it and re-upload every single time a new book comes out). The timelines this code can create can look like the one here, for example: Graphical timeline from Big Bang to Heat Death. I would suggest using your own sandbox as a place to try experimenting on that before trying to do it on the actual article though, as it might get a bit messy learning how to use this more complex code. Some thought/debate also needs to happen about how books are going to placed on the timeline, as some of them overlap in terms of time, and some include time skips. Warrior Code

We need to put the Warrior Code in somewhere. I'd do it myself, but I'm not entirely sure how it goes. Pinging @Brambleclawx: and @Brambleberry of RiverClan:. Ex-Borg Seven of Nine (talk) 13:25, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rosefeather; I don't think we actually need to put the warrior code into the article. That level of in-universe detail is generally considered excessive for a Wikipedia article (the perspective being, if someone didn't know anything about Warriors came to read about this article, they would be interested in learning about things like a general idea of what the plots are about, who the authors are and what inspired them, associated media, etc., but unless they were an actual reader of the series, they generally wouldn't be interested in, or even really understand, what the warrior code is, if we just presented it as a list within the article). That's my opinion, anyway. Brambleclawx 03:33, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I guess that's true, but I was thinking that readers would want to know what Warriors is all about. The warrior code represents that beautifully. Rosefeather of WindClan (talk) 13:37, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maps

Does someone want to add the map images? I don't know the image addresses and my browser is blocked (long story about how I get onto WP), or I'd do it myself.

Thanks, Rosefeather of WindClan (talk) 20:44, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The map images are under copyright by HarperCollins, and I don't think it meets criteria for "fair-use". It's also too in-universe to be meaningful to most readers, and I'm not aware of the map having been discussed by a major third-party source in a way that would make a discussion of the map notable in the article. Inconsistencies in the way dates are written

Hello! I'm putting this here because it's an issue across multiple Warriors articles on Wikipedia. Some articles are written with the date format Americans use (example: February 4, 2008), and some are written with the format British people use (example: 1 June 2004). I know it was stated that this specific article uses the British format in order to mirror the original British publication of the Warriors series, but if that is the case, should all Warriors articles undergo this change as well, in order to remain consistent? Blubewwy (talk) 17:34, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't there a redirect from the page Warriors to this article instead of redirecting to Warrior? Or maybe a Disambiguation page? --Asozialebohne (talk) 18:32, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
